With Ben Cohen withdrawing from the England touring squad and being unavailable for the WC, who should be called up as his replacement?

At least we can give others a chance now.

This is the perfect opportunity for Simpson-Daniel and Strettle. Great finishers, relatively young, exciting- great if they stay fit.

We have Cueto, Lewsey, Varndell to come into competiton too.

Yet another blow for England, this just goes to show that it's not the end of England's injury woes, there could still be more to come.
If SA play their full strengh team, then Brian Ashton's men are doomed.

Cohen's withdrawal does give space to one extra man though. I would really like to see Tom Varndell return to the England setup after that disastrous Australia campaign, he's been playing at about 110% for the Tigers and if he plays as well for England... well, I don't think I need finish here.

The problem with putting Tom out against the Boks is that there would be nowhere for him to hide winkeye

Tom Varndell ar you kidding
he can't tackle to save his life and international team will pick this up
plus he only scores when he does catch it

I think ben cohen did the right thing withdrawing from the SA tour and the World Cup for family reasons.

Rugby is his career but family comes first.

And i have the greatest respect for him, good look to ben cohen for the future.

Family first.

I'd like to see either Dan Scarborough or Topsy Ojo brought in. Scarborough has been a consistent performer for the past couple of seasons and deserves a go, and Ojo I think has had a good season for Irish.

Hipkiss - the Tigers back has looked to me like one of the best backs in the premiership over the last season or two. He is very hard to put down, runs great lines, a great finisher - I presume he can't be English otherwise he would have had a game or two b'now surely. Where's he from?

Plenty of decent wings about as stated above,
Ojo, Sackey, Varndell, Lewsey, Cueto
Still Cohen has been a stalwart and any England fan should wish him well in whatever he does now.

vinotackler- he's english, but also he plays for tigers, so he cant play on the tour, hence the 3rd string team being sent out
