What a Season! We're Goin Up!

Wow! What a fantastic season. We has a terrible start to the season with Quinny and things we're looking down for us. Then Keano took over as manager and what a turn around! From bottom to top in the space of a season! And to top it all off from Christmas we we went 17 games unbeaten.

And every single player has played his part, Grant Leadbitter has came through the Youth Team all the way up to the first team and scored crucial goals. Carlos Edwards- what a wonderkid, can score amazing goals with both feet. Evans and Simpson on loan from Man Utd have played brilliantly!
Nyron Nosworthy voted player of the season for his wonders in defence. David Connolly and Daryl Murphy have pounded in loads of goals. Our captain Dean Whitehead, signed from Oxford just three seasons ago and has been a great leader for us. Darren Ward has been our saviour in goal, brill saves at the right times.
Toby Hysen and Ross Wallace fantastic down the left wing, Dwight Yorke has scored a few goals from midfield!

But the most credit I believe has to go to Keano. he has led Sunderland to success and when players do wrong he tells them and they suffer the consequences, take the barbsley game for example when Stokesy and toby missed the team bus. He gave them a bollocking but they soon where back in the squad.

So We r up next season and going for the Championship title against already relegated Luton next weekend while Birmingham have a tough game away at Preston. It would top the whole season off if we could just win the league.

In the PRemiership next season we will have a budget of 30 million to spend on players and i hope we bring in top drawer players. I personally would like to see us buy Jonny Evans from Man U as he has been solid this season.

If we can stay up there are also talks of extending the stadium of light to the capacity of over 60,000 seats!

Any comments on this season or indeed next? We're going up!

Na Na Na Na Na Na Na KEANO!!!!

its not all about being promoted to the big level, but its how to keep in there?,i know, with the determination of the keep i used to see at man united and the introduction of some new players, and getting rid of the likes of yorkey who are nolonger the premiership material, with retention of simpson, richards,we a to see sunderland in the league for some more year, but am not sure on the case of birmingham.

Well done everyone involved with Sunderland football club it's great to have you back in the Premiership this time with a manager who can't be considered a clown. No offence to Mick but he's an average championship manager you have unearthed a gem in Roy Keane ( tho us reds always knew he would make a great manager ).

I wonder how Alex will cope with your manager getting his name ringing out around Old Trafford when he comes home.

Good to have you back and wll done on a fine season.

Such magnanimity as yours, SKJalporte, deserves Premier League football next season. Let's hope we have SIX derby games next year, four with a small "d" and two with a capital "D".
