Championship Derby County
comment on the article

Congratulations to the Cats and the blues.....
Good luck in the prem, its been a nailbitting time in the race to take auto .You lads fully deserve to go up no matter what is said during the heat of the moment.
Lousy performance by our lads today,we didnt play like we wanted
a win !
Hope fully we can step it up 10 notches for the playoffs, and stop argueing with each other, allthough its an uphill battle and the odds are against us,dreadfull performance today.
Very frustrating for us, Champagne and beers for you lot
WELL DONE.....

I am pleased that Sunderland has gone back up so quickly. Quinn and Keane have shown it can be done.

Birmingham have also proved themselves so I say congrats to them.

As for Derby - I think you should automatically go up too. It was a three horse race and there are three places available. I have never agreed with the play off situation. The only way I might include in the system is if the third and fourth placed teams are so close it would warrant an extra game. But if there are more than 5 points between the third and the next team I would say forget it. It is not fair, or just. But then who said football these days is fair, or just? smiley

Sunderland & Birmingham are both big teams that should be in the prem.

Birmingham should never have got relegated in the first place, while Sunderland will hopefully make a better go of it than last year.

Good luck to both.

Congratulations to Blues and the black cats. Fantasic acheivements by both managers under difficult circumstances for different reasons. Having lived in Brum for 5 years I know what this promotions meens to blues fans and as one said yesterday "we never get too carried away cos there are so many ups and downs." As for Sunderland, Roy Keane is Manager of the year. I'm a united fan and even I was sceptical when he was appointed. From 23rd place to promotion is nothing short of incredible and I'm happy to eat humble pie!

No deniying that Keano has done a magnificent job at Sunderland considering it was his first managerial position. It's a shame that our lads have let Billy Davies down somwhat by bottling it at the end but they may yet redeem themselves. Come on the Rams!!
