Ask Ollie a question

Ian Holloway

Plymouth manager Ian Holloway has been doing a weekly column for the BBC website this season.

This week he explains why his side can't beat the club record for successive wins and talks of his disappointment that the Champions League final won't be an all-English affair.

Holloway also gives his views on money in football, overdosing on crab and the Kate Moss collection.

If you would like to ask Ollie a question, send it in and we will try to use it. Two or three questions are usually selected each week.

Ollie,

Now Bristol City have finally made it to the championship after eight long years in League One what are your thoughts on this fantastic achievement?

Will you also be looking forward to returning to the fantastic Ashton Gate stadium?

Ian,

I was dissapointed to read your comments about Leeds United after your match with Hull.

If the shoe was on the other foot and Plymouth were in trouble financially and certain of being relegated and the chairman came to you and said, "We can either take administration now and lose 10 points this season or take administration in the summer and we start next season off 10 points less impacting our ability to bounce back." then how would you have answered?

I'll bet money that you'd have said take administration this season so we can start fresh next season and bounce back without starting off minus 10 points in Leauge One if it was your team.

Eric,
Seattle, Washington

hey Ian. I'm a Hull City fan and the one thing that really struck me today was how much fun ur teams and fans seem to have. I noticed your substitutes having a bit of a dance at half time and your fans were constantly singing. Is this sometihng you've tried to instill or something that was allready there? ben

Hi Ollie,

last week saw another sponsorship deal with Ginsters. As much as I like them I was wondering if the Club had ever considered getting the travel agents Going Places to sponsor them? As after watching the team recently that's how a lot of the Green Army I have spoken to feel.

Aquajohnbarnes: Sorry you're not a fan of the column. I have to say judging by the majority of the comments and emails we receive you are in the minority but of course you have a right to your opinion.

What I would say is that I am responsible for selecting the questions for Ollie and he can only answer what is put to him. The majority of questions are about football but I like to go off-topic now and again to make it a bit more interesting (or not, depending on your point of view!)

As for insights into footballing matters, he has taken us through the highs and lows of Plymouth's fantastic FA Cup run, a personal account of playing alongside the late, great Alan Ball and explained how different players amuse themselves on some of the longest coach journeys in football, to name but a few.

It's his final column of the season this week so if you want to ask Ollie a question it's your last chance to dance!

ignore aquajohn - Ollie's columns are great... if only cos he has answered not one but TWO of my questions! Most 606ers love Ollie - so just ignore aquajohn as he probably has a photo of Victor Meldrew on his bedside table and sleeps in a cardigan.

Hi Ollie,

I was wondering what your views are on Dan Goslings current England status. I imagine you are proud that your players are playing for their country but do you get a bit annoyed when this means that they cannot play for Plymouth?

p.s. will this column carry on next season?

Hi Ollie,

It's a shame to see another Premiership manager fall to a mediocre season under a demanding chairman. What's your opinion on the pushy chairmen who demand a huge finish and the unlucky managers who can't quite cut it to the huge Premiership standard?

Hi Ollie! Will you be taking on any of the QPR players released this summer? Very sorry to see Birch leave, but would like him to go to a good home (park)!
