606 update / feedback

comment on the article

Hello,

Hope you're enjoying using 606 lately. This is the place where we will keep you posted about any new developments to the site, and deal with any queries or problems you may have.

We are currently doing other development work which we hope to make live in the not-too-distant future, in response to your feedback and some detailed user testing. This will include additional and improved navigation, to help you find the content you're interested in more easily, and a simplified process for creating content.

Many of the tweaks and features are in direct response to what you've told us, so we're looking forward to getting them live and hopefully making your experience of 606 even easier and better!

On the flip side, one thing that we have been concerned about lately is the incidence of people 'hacking' accounts in order to impersonate them. As a precaution, we would advise anyone concerned about this to make sure that neither their password nor their 'secret answer' is easy to guess.

You can do this by clicking on 'retrieve my details' at the top of the page and entering your password. You will then be able to review your details and make changes if necessary.

If you do experience this problem, or have any other query or issue, please post it here and we will investigate. Your patience is appreciated - we will monitor this thread as often as possible.

Thanks and best wishes,

Tara

WELL MODS YOU'VE NOW HAD SEVERAL DAYS TO MULL OVER THE REQUESTS ON THE PREVIOUS TWO PAGES AND SO FAR ALL WE, THE PAYING PUBLIC HAVE GOT BACK IN RETURN IS A WALL OF SILENCE.

DON'T YOU THINK IT WOULD BE A GOOD IDEA, OR EVEN SIMPLY COURTEOUS OF YOU TO AT LEAST PROVIDE A SIMPLE YES/NO ANSWER?

Sorry guys and girls - it has been a while since the mods were across this thread and it should have been closed down to comments to prevent confusion. Myself (I've taken over from Tara), Production Editor Lewis Wiltshire and others are keeping across this feedback thread: http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/606/A26229620

And we'll do our best to deal with general questions and comments about the appearance and functionality of 606 there. What we won't be able to is to delve into specific instances of moderation etc. That still needs to be done by sending an email via: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/606/5346194.stm

Thanks - I know that some of you are frustrated by the lack of communication from us. I'm going to do my best to improve the way we deal with feedback, but rest assured we are not ignoring you in some malicious way. It's simply a very difficult task to keep all of you happy all of the time. Not enough hours in the day.

But we do our best and want you to enjoy using 606.

Cheers.
