Well done Ireland! Its been a great couple of weeks, despite losing to Sri Lanka today.

You got as far as England in the World Cup, and for that you should be very proud.

I reckon the party when you get home will be just as good as the one you had in Cara Lodge in Guyana.

Go neiri an bothar libh!

If they can keep this terrific spirit going, it won't be very long until the Irish are once more competing in future Cricket World Cups. For the time being, I would like to raise a glass of ice-cold Lucozade to toast those magnificent Irishmen who have made our nation so proud with all that they have done in this World Cup. Just like our football and rugby sides, the Irish cricket team have been courageous and amazing. They have given the major cricket nations a hell of a lot to think about in the future. Go neiri an bothar libh.

I raise a toast: To the Irish!

Slainte! (Good Health)

Well done Ireland.
I was fortunate enough to go to Clontarf a year ago to watch Ireland v Hampshire in the C&G Trophy. Hampshire won relatively easily, so the World Cup is testimony to how much the Irish have improved. We were very warmly received at Clontarf, and I am delighted that the Irish have announced themselves on the world stage.
Go on from here!

Ireland have effectively performed far better than England not just in relative ability terms but they managed to beat two teams with full ODI status and draw with Zimbabwe wheras Engalnd thus far have only managed the deafeat one ODI status team that being Bangladesh.

Great job Ireland. However until they get Test Status (which they should be given immediatley) they would not get enough matches and would always rely on the counties. They should stop playing county cricket and build their own domestic structure.

The Irish Guts and concentration showed up Englands failings. The English players should study the recordins and learn from them. Good on yer Paddies an England supporter
