I guess Ronaldo has his vote then.

I'm glad the PFA awards is not a peoples choice award, as the amount of 'hate' for all things United and in particular Ronaldo would give him no chance.

But when a fellow player and rival can put differences aside and judge on performance, shows at least the players are not biased.

Has someone ever bothered to note that while ronaldo has displayed some depth of character, Rooney is still stuck in the pit of indiscipline.

If Cristiano Ronaldo wins anything it will be a slap in the face for all decent England fans. The only thing he should get an award for is diving because he seems to be very good at it. He is a total disgrace to football and I have boycotted all Portugese products since his antics at the World Cup last year.

Bitter by any chance?

Class comment JT. I despise the little weasel but can't argue with Ronaldo as best player, although I don't think anyone should win who displays such contempt and dishonesty towards opponents. Something is very wrong when Essien cannot even make the list.
----------------------
did you see some of the 'tackles' Essien made early in his chelsea career, it was pure filth. now he's performing and not making such a dirty name for himself, Ronaldo has curbed the diving to produce pure end product but you choose to remember the reputation that suits you best

Roy Keane and Paul Scholes make Essien look like a schoolboy when it comes to bad tackles. Oh I forgot they play (ed) for the saints of Manchester. What a muppett.

Why do we keep hearing Ronaldo has curbed his diving. He hasn't. Sorry to snap you out of your fantasy, but you really need to try and deal with reality.

Bonetti1, so by your reckoning, Drogba should not be on the list too? and essien is dirty and a cheat, but as he plays for chelsea we should over look that?

See you blues fans are becoming very bitter.

Essien is not in there simply becasue his fellow professionals do not agree with your assessment, besed on bitterness at some ill concieved notion that he cheats. When did he last dive, you know one without a touch.

When was the last time you see him confront a ref after a tackle? how often do you see him roll around after a tackle or verbally abuse the ref (unlike terry/lampard and drogba.)

Get off you high horse, you're bitter becasue Ronaldo has not only stayed but proved he is the best player in england to the majority of people with any idea of football. You cal him a cheat and yet chelsea is riddled with them.

And you wonder why chelsea is dispised as a club, since JM era, your belief that you are a team full of superstars, or a great side has gone to your heads. You are a side that wins, not a great side. Greece won the european champion and they will never be considered a great side. Your last two leagues wins, does anywhere talk of any graet games ? do people say : The unbeaten side, treble side, the kids side? no. Just you won.

Greatness is not just winning. Chelsea are a long way from being a great side, even if chelsea win the league thise season, people will still talk about United's football over the season, rather then yours.

And essien is not as good as you make out. The season looking through blue tinted eyes does not make it true.

Chelsea get ousted from their dream by United and what do their fans do???
Moan and groan laugh
True, Ronaldo's inncident with Rooney in the World Cup was appalling; Alex Ferguson quickly defused a potentially hostile situation.
If Mourihno produced a more consistent, injury free Chelsea he might have given us a run for our money.
Less griping, more end results make a truly great team and player.ok
