Arsenal 2-1 Bolton

Premiership Arsenal
comment on the article

Cesc Fabregas' first league goal in 11 months proved the difference as Arsenal stole a march on 10-man Bolton in the race for a Champions League place.

The Gunners, looking for a first win in five games, went behind on 10 minutes to Nicolas Anelka's close-range volley.

But Arsenal slowly began to dominate and Tomas Rosicky poked in to level.

Fabregas' 12-yard curler completed the comeback and Arsenal saw off a late Bolton rally to seal the win after Ivan Campo had gone for a second booking.

Silenced their critics?

----------------------------------------

You got to be joking 1 win in 5 games and 1 goal since the beginning of the season and they have silenced their critics.

You have got to be kiddinglaugh

yeah Arsenal really lack the steel that is required at this level especially when it becomes crunchtime.
Hopefully the title will be a proper four horse race next season.

I did not see the game, but I heard we won 2-1. I think this season should be a wake-up call to Arsenal as opponents are no longer worried when they meet us. We need to get back that fear teams used to have of being trampled over and it is usually the final ball that lets us down. Hopefuly we will end up in the top four and actually mount a real challenge for some trophies. we also need water-tight confident defenders as that is also abone of contention. Chelsea has heart, Man have strength, whereas we have it all and don't use it. Fingers crossed for the start of next season.

get real, while we're not title contenders and prob won't be next season either, we're still a cut above most prem teams. Other than a catastrophe we're in champs league, 5 points clear of bolton + 1 game in hand with a better goal diff.

We've also lost our two most prolific goal scorers for most of the season, yet we're still comfortably 4th.

It's no wonder we've fallen short of the invincible season - look at the power players we had vieira, edu, ljunberg, pires + henry all at the top of their game(a midfield to rival anyone).

Wenger has said all long this team is being built a transition period, don't expect too much, but yet we're still comfortably 4th. I think we'll shine in the 08-09 season.

I really hope Wenger doesnt buy baptista (14mill) would be a joke. We need a clinical striker and an attacking midfielder.

Any chance of an FA investigation into Davies raising his hands and hitting the Goalkeeper? I don't think so, but had it beeen the other way round. Chewing gum Sam would have been screaming. Nickpe

we defo a class above Liverpool, but not at United and CHelsea's level this season..

I'll be happy with 3rd this year and i think it is what we deserve out of the league.

of course with less injuries - say injuries at the level United had - we could have done much better.
