Brit-Watch: Davis Cup

Great Britain are through to a World Group Play-Off match after beating the Netherlands .

Andy Murray and Tim Henman put Britain in a strong position after Day 1 with victories over Raemon Sluiter and Robin Haase respectfully. Though there was some good resistance from the Dutch ultimately their higher-ranked opponents came through in straight-sets.

Jamie Murray and Greg Rusedski then partnered to beat Robin Haase and Rogier Wassen in the doubles rubber on Day 2. With flaire at the net and some solid backhand returns Jamie Murray supported well by Greg Rusedski, who announced his retirement after the match, came through to get the crucial third win.

With victory assured, the remaining matches on Day 3 turned into dead-rubbers. Jamie Murray lost to Haase but he done well for just a 'mere' doubles specialist, taking the first set and pushing his opponent to a tiebreak in the second. Henman then secured his second win of the tie by beating Sijsling, a small confidence booster in what has been a difficult start to the year for him.

Surprisingly good from Murray. Took the first set and then pushed Haase to a tiebreak in the second.

Dead rubbers in Davis Cup are always best of 3 sets.

"Andy Murray looks like Stanley Baxter(Scottish comedian, for younger readers)"

He looks nothing like him!
The only thing they have in common is they are both Scottish.
