Watford 0 - 1 Chelsea

comment on the article

Salomon Kalou scored an injury-time header to ensure Chelsea remain six points behind Manchester United.

Chelsea seemed certain to slip eight points behind the leaders after a frustrating afternoon before Kalou converted Andrei Shevchenko's cross.

Both sides spurned earlier chances, with Michael Ballack missing the ball and Ben Foster denying Didier Drogba.

Petr Cech made excellent saves from Damien Francis and Steve Kabba, who also missed a chance from six yards.

Give your thoughts on the match. Will Chelsea catch Man Utd?

CHELSEA SUPPORTER biggrin

I think we desearved those 3 points vs Watford on Saturday because Manchester United have grinded out their fair share of lucky results in injury time against the likes of Fulham and Liverpool.

Mabey we didn't desearve them in performance wise but in mathmatical terms we did desearve them.

In Mathmatical terms i think we can still be champions we have to win the final 7 games remaining and hope that United will slip up they have difficult games to play aswell you know Man United have to play Portsmouth without G. Neville, Vidic and Saha those players missing could be crucial to that match and they have to lose a 2nd game against another team and they will lose to us at stamford bridge.

But in reality with the way Man United are playing football at the moment i don't think we can catch them everthing seems to be going their way and fair play to them they desearve to be at the top ( i may hate some of their players i.e Neville, giggs scholes and saha ) but they have been quality this season and desearve that gold premiership winners medal.

If Manchester United bottle this from chelsea's pressure it will be the biggest embarressment ever but a well desearved back to back to back title for chelsea for keeping faith and belive amoungst the squad and this could meen that we can win the quadruple as well.

COME ON CHELSEA, DON'T GIVE UP WE KNOW THAT YOU CAN CATCH UP MAN UNITED, COME ON YOU BLUES!!!

Only if man poo do a devon loch. It's far too unlikely, but we have to cling on to something. Really though, we lost the title when we brought in Shevchenko & Ballack & released Gallas. The team wasn't balanced & the squad lacked cover in the really important areas - centre half. Fair play to united, they're not as good as we were last year, but they were consistently better than we've been this term.

Tiresome comments from ManU fans but the key to the season was the ''tackle'' on Cech which put him out and for a while in mortal danger for half of the season. Points were dropped which otherwise would not have been. The absence of an entire defence for several matches also added to that. Man U had relatively few injuries but now appear to be getting quite a few. That might make a difference maybe against Roma. However, premiership sides seem to fall apart when they play Man U . I don;t think CFC can catch them up but it is vital not to concede. One other thing- attitude. Ferdinand deliberately kicked the ball hard into the crowd. Apologies notwithstanding it was an unsporting act but I think he seems to have form in that respect.

Chelsea lost the Premiership tittle on the Transfer Market.Jose's "buy-ins & sell-outs" haven't brought his dreamed results. You can buy a bunch of great players; but you cannot buy a great team! Jose has a lot to learn from Big Fergie!!! C'mmon United, I nid a treble!!!

There is no way chelsea can catch man utd with the way they're playing. It does n't seem utd will be dropping any points at this time of the season.

well technically if u include the goal difference chelsea have to gain 7 points over united. fair enuf one of those games is against man utd so theres potentially 3 points, but you still need man utd to slip up twice. Man utd only need 5 out of 7 wins to win the league unless chelsea win 4-0 every game and united only win by 1 or 2
