It's almost impossible to believe this is the team who were down and out just a few weeks ago. They had this match under control right from the kick off and never let up until the final whistle-exactly as they must play to survive and oh! how the fans loved it.
No one, surely can be in any doubt now that Eggers must find a way to keep Tevez-buy his contract-plead, beg, cajole-whatever it takes.
Still it would only be half the story of today's matches without commenting on the others. It would have been nice to see a different result from some but our destiny is in our hands not theirs. Still more of a picture is emerging now. I would say, with their difficult run-in, Sheffield are now doomed. Man City seem to have moved out of trouble, although they don't have many more points available with the second toughest run-in. Charlton should make it, even though points left don't seem plentiful. This seems to leave the battle for survival between WH and Wigan (although there are a couple of teams who could yet slide back into trouble). If this is so their match up that's stll to come could be the decider.
However for the moment, I am just going to saviour the clubs re-birth. Two wins in a row has seemed an impossible dream for a long-long time

What a great win for the Hammers yesterday, hopefully they can go on from that result and I think that with Alan Curbishley they have a manager who can save them from relegation. The only problem is, the league table doesn't lie and tells the story of the whole season and West Ham have got to show true East End grit and spirit if they are going to beat the drop. Will players of Tevez's sort have the stomach for the fight? I don't think so 'cos he is one of those foreign players who, if in the mood can be outstanding, but if he's got out the wrong side of bed he is about as much use as a chocolate fire guard!!! I hope he proves me wrong beacause I would love to see West Ham stay up. I certainly think with Dean Ashton being out of the side goals have been hard to come by but West ham do have players who can keep them up, Bobby Zamora is one and certainly Lee Bowyer will give his all. If the rest do the same, including Mr.Tevez then they will survive.
Watford are already doomed, and I hope for all you Hammers out there that West Ham aren't going to be one of the two who will join them.

Message from Arsenal fan,,,

I would love to see west ham stay up, and i think two wins on the trot have really given them a shout, but i fear its will be watford, sheff utd, and west ham down.

U wont believe this but I predicted both the last two results correctly (cheers 4 cash Steve - few pints to celebrate!).

Anyway, West Ham will survive the drop by a few pts on the final day (But I'll b holding my breath over the Tevez & co transfer scandal!).

Arsenal v WHam - 1-3 to the Irons

Any offers????

Won't be betting against you Sqwid but I like the scoreline! I got 50-1 last year on 2-3, so 1-3 with no-one having won at the Emirates has got to be 66-1 min? ok

Hi Guys, an unusual Sunday visit from me.

Let's see what Lawro predicts first and then bet on the exact opposite.
We were his correct result this weekend so it'll be back to his normal reverse indicating next week. I just know he's going to assume that the goons are going to beat us at their place which means we'll win! ok

Did you see him on MOTD last night? Four years ago, he was saying until very near the end of the season that we were too good to go down. This time, he's saying that we've got no chance of staying up! That cheered me up no end! biggrin

COME ON YOU IRONS!!

VEightIron unless ur team is 1 of the big 4, chances are the experts on MOTD will think theyre rubbish anyway lol. if u win, its not down to your team being good, its the opposition having a bad day.
e.g.- wen boro hammered manchester united 4-1, we werent good, man utd just werent playing to their best of their ability....
as soon as u lose a match ur back 2 being rubbish lol. but i do love it wen they have to admit if we've had a great match!
