Where is the real Andy...

comment on the article

Why is Murray playing so poorly tonight or is it Djokovic performing well?

Ofcourse all players lose matches but I fear a really bad defeat against one his potential rivals will damage confidence.

Zijn jullie elke dag even goed in alles?
Laat die jongen nu toch eens groeien; jullie willen een engelse wimbledonwinnaar? Leg dan geen druk op z'n schouders. Anders zal het aflopen zoals met Tim Henman....

'trash in any top 10"-what a disgusting statement. The top 1000 are very good tennis players. People have distorted values.
I hate spectators. Those who can, do. Those who can't, write nonsense on blogs.
It takes years of practice to become good at tennis. It takes five minutes to write drivel on a computer.

By "trash" I simply meant players that weren't legendary, historical players.
Having played tennis myself, I by no means think it's an easy task.
However, on a world scale-Davydenko is simply not comparable with a Federer.

My post was actually defending an considerable number of players. I was simply voicing an opinion, and I don't think the majority of what I wrote could be considered "drivel".

I find it rather disgusting that you wrote offensive comments without reading the overall sentiment of my post, and misinterpreted what I said entirely.

As a postscript, years and years of practice don't just define generations of brilliant tennis player. It's skill and raw talent that do this-coupled with the practicing.

Guys hes 19, thats ten years off his peak. Ten years untill we can really put this pressure on him. Suposedly hes still learning tennis, whereas eight (minus Nadal and Djokivic) top of their game professionals are ahead of him. No doubt Andy will be a top 5 player, and he will have plenty of opportunitys to win a slam, I'm sure he will take at least 1.

andy murray is a wannabe, i think his attitude is appalling, and djokovic is an amazing pro, at only 19 the same age as murray, he does not argue and shout and throw rackets unlike the tempestous murray, i am glad to see murray beaten!even though he may well be the best scottish sportsman, i am glad he is playing poorly

Caught the second set on a replay. Much as I hate to see Murray moping and shouting at Gilbert, it's preferable to his well behaved but pathetic surrender in that second set. Guess he needs the "attitude" to stay involved and focused.

I still don't think Murray will ever win a slam unless he becomes a lot more aggressive or gets a cakewalk draw. But he's still a very good player who should pick up a few titles and even a masters event here or there. I'm confident he'll emulate or surpass Henman's excellent career achievements.

Hurrah! A Scotsman in the semi final of a TENNIS grand slam. 5 years ago it would be unthinkable. Keep it coming Andy!!
