Robben...

Premiership Chelsea

I believe it's time to cash in on Robben, I for one am getting sick of constant injury problems... he doesn't even manage half a season. If his injuries are legitimate then fair enough but I just don't understand how someone can be that injury prone. His antics at Anfield as well... no comment! I'm a Chelsea fan, by the way but I believe we have better options; Cole, Kalou, Sinclair. I would add Duff to that but we wrongfully sold him in my opinion. I would like to see Chelsea go for Pedersen or Quaresma over the summer.

Thoughts?

I think Robben's made his mind up that he's leaving, and his opting for surgery at this moment has angered the "special one".

So it's goodbye from Robben.

A good player out injured in Robben but an excellent winger returns. At last Joe is set to return. He has been dearly missed.

Have to agree with the majority of comments so far. Robben has a dreadful attitude. I'd like him to either sort his head out, or go.

Its a real shame cos robben has added the width and pace chelsea have needed to change their game htis season. when sheva was misfiring, he came in as the perfect substitute for a forward. He shouldnt move on, he starts alot for chelsea and is important to the chelsea set up. and i sayshame to you who think its good to see such a class player injuured. I cant even wish ronaldo injured, so i say shame on you, no one can wish an injury upon someone. Still good we have joe back during the week.

I am furious about this. At a time when we need every available player, for whatever reason Robben has let us down - at our expense, as no doubt we will pick up his wages and pay his medical bills of course. Funny, isn't it, how players and their agents will insist clubs honour contracts when their player is injured - but when they are fit and a bigger juicier offer comes in, off they go! I know that if a player is injured on England duty, the FA picks up his wages until he is fit. Well we should do the same for Holland - they should pay up until (or if ever!) Robben is fit. And we shouldn't let our players play for any country unless they have the same arrangement as the FA.

Robben is probably staying though his fitness record is poor. He seems to be injury-prone when he was not in Holland. However, our game is so different and so much more demanding. Foreign players have to take this into account when they join British clubs. Kalou may provide width but I would rather he starts scoring and more frequently now that he knows where the goal is and is not shot-shy. Quaresma is good but look at his attitude. We could do without that. The real issue is whether Jose wants to stay or go. Hiddink is all very well but Roman has already gone on record about how much he wants Russia to qualify. Hiring Hiddink would be cutting off his Roman nose to spite his face. Mancini is not experienced or good enough. Capello is spoilt goods. Chris Coleman would be a good number 2 perhaps. Ironically Warnock has criticised all other clubs but not CFC. He is always very generous to us. Watch out!

Please not Quaresma....he is so tempremental in his attitude and something the Chelsea camp could rightly do without

you only have to look at games this season to see what a difference robben makes to chelsea. In games when chelsea havent been playing well robben has come on and turned the game around and makes chelsea look a much better side. Although he is injured too much he should stay at chelsea because on his day he is by far are best attacking player and one of the top players in the world
