McLaren Has just asked us to support England, and not boo the team. For a man with some history in football he must know that the fans are fickle and will boo when they're unhappy and cheer when they are. We wont get switched on and off like a radio. You cant ask us.

I'd say to Mclaren, you play well, we'll cheer. You play badly, we'll boo you. You've been playing badly, against poor opposition and we're going to boo you. Sven beat ze Germans 5-1, i think this England team could well get a reverse on that score in current form. You dont deserve the fans cheering when your playing so badly. Play well and then you can ask for things.

NOt going to support rubbish, and that is what Mac. is.. total rubbish.
When they appointed this idiot I said the best thing, would be for England not to qualify for the Euro's and that would hopefully lead the FA to get a proper manager in.... unfortunatly it seem's I was wrong. If BB can watch last night, and still back the manager we are in a lot more trouble than people think. It took years to get rid of Sven.. it make take longer to get rid of Mac.

We should sack McClown and hire a top class manager such as Graeme Souness.

Doctors are paid to do a job. If a surgeon messed up an operation through lack of performance youd have a right to have a go at them. England players are not performing at the moment so every Englishman who has paid to watch a match has a right to voice discontent with the players

Fans should not boo during the game. Half time interval, full time interval, fair enough. But when the players are actually playing football, they should be supported. It only makes things worse if all the players can hear is constant whistling and booing, with no encouragement to try and give them that extra boost.

Booing the team now is absolutely supporting them! The England team now is just whole bunch of overrated player don't know how to play football if not coached by a non-English. The English clubs are doing well because there are foreign players adding the important things like imagination and determination. It's time to boo the team to let'em know it is the time to wake-up and to learn how to play football.

"England are a laughing stock for other countries."

only because of the way the supporters have been acting.

Nothing to do with the way the team has been playing.

Get
Mclaren out...blah blah blah. i think it just goes to show how fickle the supporters are and how easily influenced by the media you can be.

FACTS:

Yes, Mclaren probably not the person everyone watned, and i openly agree he wasnt the one for the job. But hes got the job, and its about time he got some support.

England havent been lpayin any quality football at a consistant rate for ages, so why now attack the team and the manager when now....THEY NEED THE SUPPORT MOST !

all you "booers" are mindless and fickle.

i understand that you paid your money to watch the game...but you paid the money, knowing how bad the team have been playing...i consider you fools..complain all you want..your fools. why not save your money and wait till there on form. let the real supporters do the job for now.

Im an evertonian, but well played Steven Gerrard, when the **** hits the fan, he seems to keep appearing, and it really pisses me off! My old man was saying this morning, that the England is picked from the top 4 teams in the country really as a rule, and their managers command a lot more respect with the players than McLaren, even Allardyce, ONeill Moyes and Jol would be well above McLaren in my standing. He's not acheived anything. Yet hes got the admiration of Ferguson, and that must stand for something, even if Rooney is acting like a spoilt brat for England. I think McLarens tactics have been alright, just that the players havent responded. However i dont think he'll have the time to improve. I think it could be a race he's already lost.

A few days back 'downeyefc' said "I'd say to Mclaren, you play well, we'll cheer. You play badly, we'll boo you. You've been playing badly, against poor opposition and we're going to boo you" - I second that!!!
This McClaren fellow desrves all the stick he's getting. He's failed to galvanise this star-studded team into a team that plays impressive football.
In fact this team is in such a bad state that it is just about the most boring and utterly hapless English squad i have watched playing - perhaps with the exception of that jaded bunch of overrated and underacheving "world class" stars that played stinking football at the World Cup last year and stood out as the tournament's most boring team.
I think McClaren, just like his predecessor Sven, is doing a disservice to the fans and is at the same time killing the players by maiking them play according to a rigid system that does not allow them to express themselves in the same way they do when they are at their clubs where they are used to high tempo swashbuckling attacking football.
England does not need this overly cautious approach to games - we are at our best when we play at a high tempo and batter the opposition to submission - something that this rigid and defensive approach cripples us from doing. That probably eplains why England watching England play has become a painstakingly sickening experience, and probably explains why we haven't been able to score against thre better teams(Israel, Croatia, Macedonia) of late.
I rest my case.
