England's fading hopes

'Boring Boring England..' I wonder how this is possible with the quality in disposal.

Since Sven took charge England slowly have lost the much needed elements. Integrity, passion and teamwork have all been replaced by over-confidence and lifeless play. Yes, he brought England to all tournaments, but he just couldnt bring the best from the so called England golden generation.

McClaren promised a different, passioned, committed England. By dropping Beckham he shows that big names dont count, he also wants England to play with pace. Well what we see from Israel game? The answer is the same old boring England under Sven!

Here I show you what I get from the Israel vs England:

McClaren dares to drop Beckham so why not dropping the ineffective Lamps or Rooney? If he promised a pacy attacking football why bring Carragher and Phil Neville as full-backs? If I were England players, such Gareth Barry, I'd think 'Why try so hard if in the end the big names will start anyway?'

The main problem is players are playing out of positions. Carragher and Phil Neville may cover the defense but completely clueless in attack. Lennon was still pacy but not comfortable in the left. Lampard did not perform again, simply because of confusion with Gerrard who kept drifting to the midfield from the right. Frustrated Rooney sure could do nothing when the center-midfield was already in disarray. Johnson's hard work was wasted by the lack of support behind him.

It was probably an easy night for Robinson, Rio & John. Hargreaves was OK, but the outstanding display was again in the sacrificed Gerrard at the in-right. Why dont move Gerrard in the center midfield and Lennon on the right, plus use players who are the best in their natural positions! I can understand Micah probably was not fully fit but why dont give Gareth his chance on the left?

England just looked uncomfortable and predictable, and Israel just reminded England that they will always have puzzles to solve if they dont change.

I am very upset with the draw with Israel.
Steve Mclaren has to go immediately. There is no question about that.
