Chris Brandon goes to Blackpool.....

League One Huddersfield Town
comment on the article

...but not for a holiday, on a two month loan deal.

Nice work Blackpool. You have got the only skillfull midfielder we have (I don't expect full agreement from Town fans on that one), - I'm gutted - and I am certain you will now finish in the play-offs.

Bad move by Town - should be farming out the likes of Hudson and Ahmed instead (nobody wants them I imagine).

Can anyone confirm that Brando wont be able to play for Blackpool against Town on Easter Monday please (likewise Rabs).

Re HTCOWSHED comments:

And you think Brandon is slow?!? he must be one of the quickest players I've seen on a football pitch!

As I've said on previous posts I would have experimented and stuck CB upfront.

Young, Ahmed, Hudson are just rubbish.

Not getting into the worthy debate again.

Collins shows promise but gets too isolated at times (thats worthy's fault).

Beech was class, the last real goal scoring midfielder we have had!

Silly question but would we class GTF as a midfielder or a striker?

Beech was class for a season, I agree. Old ginger pubes himself, the one and only Mark Lillis had a good season too when I was a nipper. He knew where the back of the net was.

Soumi, lets face it, Brandon is okay, but to rate him any more than that is a little much. At the end of the day, this side isn't good enough. I know Town fans (although this isnt just a Town disease) who will pretend that the team is better than it is (most of those still think we can reach the play offs). We need a clear out and Brandon, in my book, is one who should be included in that. Worthington and Schofield would be two that would escape (and even Schofield only just escapes) but anyone else would not make me lose any sleep (in fact I would probably sleep easier). The midfield is our big problem, it needs to be changed drastically, or I'm afraid we could get Gus Hiddink as our next manager and we will still be having the same conversation next season.

Personally I think GTF is a striker. I like my wide men to be like Andrei Kanchelskis, you know the type, give him the ball on the half way line and in two touches he will be in the opposing box. To be fair, I think GTF sees himself as a striker as well.

Re: Brandons pace...

to be honest.. i think its just the fact his legs look to be moving really fast gives the illusion he's so speedy... but isnt actually, dont get me wrong, not saying he's slow, but in terms of real pace, up there with the fastest of them, i'm not convinced!

Julie Loves Jacko

Your comment is just symptomatic of your fantasy world comments you've been making all season.Brandon isn't good enough simple as that! All I can say about him is lots of running about but no end product. To suggest Brandon is one of Jacksons best signings is quite simply totally ludicrous. Are you saying he is better than Chris Beech,Jamie Vincent or Craig Armstrong and I ain't no Jackson fan either some of his transfer dealings were really woeful. The truth is he needed to be moved on along with the rest of the deadwood Hudson,Ahmed,Clarke,Holdsworth,Beckett,McIntosh.

I resent that. Just because I don't share your point of view I'm living in a fantasy world??? Thats unfair.

You're not a Jackson fan, I was - you don't rate Chris Brandon, yet I do.

I thought that that was what these message boards were for, different opinions.

..oh and I stand by what I said about CB being ONE of PJs best signings. Did I say he was THE best signing..... well no.

Brandon has underachieved at Town = Not one of Jacko's best signings. He is a winger yet does not cross. Why? I dont think he knows his best position as when he is on the wing instead of crossing the ball he inists on cutting inside which more often than not results in him being dispossesed.

He is not one of Jackos worst signings either. Not as bad as George Donis whom Bruce brought in!!
