pays-bas (U7815860) posted Mar 17, 2007 Well what an achievement indeed...? I'm Dutch and wasn't even aware that we had a cricket team, and was barely aware that cricket was a sport... The latter must be taken with a pinch of salt as I live now almost 3 years in the UK, and indeed you see sometimes these strange men in their white outfit trying to hit a ball with a rather oddly shaped baseball bat. Cricket is probably as rarely played as "korfbal" which is a Dutch invention. By the way the only sport in the world whereby males and females compete together without the males having their "natural" phsyical advantage.

north_fitzroyalty (U6564615) posted Mar 18, 2007 therewesaiditdotcom — your comments are foul and you should be ashamed of them. Gibbs was incredibly young and naive at the time, never even accepted any money — as soon as he came to and realised what he was doing he pulled out of the deal. Far from 'squalid', Gibbs has been a wonderful cricketer to watch for his entire career. Good on 'im.

Audierne (U7854128) posted Mar 20, 2007 I thought it all rather sad, really. For some reason I was unimpressed with the batsman, just sorry for the bowler. After all the guy was out of his league but doing his best. Now goes down in the records in quite he wrong way. Shame.
