arkle_stumper (U7387230) posted Mar 14, 2007 pakistan have a bit of a problem with their captain. inzi is a quality batsman but he struggled yesterday because of his inability to run quick singles and to turn one's into twos. how many times did he hit a good shot to the left or right of the fielder on the boundary at deep backward point/cover and only get one for it. I can't hink of any other batsmen at the WC unwilling to run their runs. he can get away with it in test match cricket but not in ODI's. but they can't drop him either. would hate to be in bob woolmers shoes right now...

Steve_Gerrard_Gerrard (U2285537) posted Mar 14, 2007 The West Indies are massive contenders, make no mistake about it. Pakistan were easily beaten and if the windies can find some consistency they will be very difficult to beat.

inamulhuq (U7785845) posted Mar 14, 2007 As usual the supposed deluge of talent on the Pakistani team has been exposed. The opening batsmen, are again culpable of offering nothing more than a poor performance. The Pakistani bowlers have no sting and are toothless, as evidenced by strong batting performance by a weak West Indies team.
