A well deserved Triple Crown. You were a shadow of yourselves today, but this year you've shown how rugby should be played. I'll have a drink to you tonight.

Yes, rugby is a fast, exciting fun game to play/watch when it is really "played"! It harks back to our earliest childhood memories playing "tig" (chasing) etc.! Play is the key word!

Getting a position on the pitch just to kick a penalty each time is not really rugby is it?

I cringe to think of what the Irish coashes will start to say about Italy and how they will be a severe test for Ireland and how Ireland will "have to contain them for the first 20 minutes". The team should disregard the coaching instructions for the Italian match just like they did in the 2nd half against France a year or so ago. They have the skill and the talent to beat Italy by a wide margin but they will be playing to a "fear" tactical plan and will pay the price if they do. Let the Irish team play to their advantages and not worry about the opposition like they were made to do all week by the Irish coaches.

Ireland definatly didn't play as well as they are capable of. Scotland gave them the win.
Scotland are idiots. First: Scotland go 18-13 up, then they bring on Henderson for Di Rollo, give away 2 penalties which O'Gara converts. Frank Hadden made a bad susitution bringing Henderson on for Di Rollo. Di Rollo played okay from my point of veiw. Why bring him off? Frank shouldn't have taken off Dewey. Just because you have 7 subs doesn't mean you have to use them all. Bringing on players can unsettle the team.
I CAN'T UNDERSTAND WHY DENIS HICKIE GOT MAN OF THE MATCH! Phillip Matthews always gives an Irish person the man of the match award if Ireland have won or drawn a game. I would have given the man of the match to Gordan D'arcy, Ronan O'Gara or maybe Chris Paterson.

Andy Nicol said that Scotland will be happy with a one point defeat. Andy, I'm a Scot, and I'm not happy. Scotland were idiots for throwing the game away, and they were idiots for not using their backs as offen as they could. When you're looking for tries you don't keep going through phases with the forwards. They're just there to get you into good positions, the backs are mean't to score the tries. Scotland thought that the forwards were mean't to make the hardyards and score the tries. IDIOTS! Frank Hadden needs to address to the players that it's mean't to be the backs getting the tries, not the forwards unless they're in the attacking line.

Lets concentrate on the positive. They made a few mistakes but these things are part of sport! Their defensive play was very good though.

Of course, I meant the Welsh. My apologies to those fine rugby players (<cough, splutter>), the Flower of Scotland. doh
