Thierry Henry

Premiership Arsenal
comment on the article

does anyone get the impression that he has played his last game for Arsenal, and that we will cash in on him in the summer as he has now reached his peak.
Compounded of course that he is out for the rest of the season.

If you look at stats you can prove anything you want, admitedly Rooney hasn't had a good season. but Saha has been injured loads aswell.

Thing is.Henry hasn't been playing like the Henry we know.if you want to hide behind stats and pretend he has then that's up to you.

Arsenal relied on him too much this year,so that now he's flopped so have they.

They'll still be in the Champions League next year though.

10 goals in 16 games?!?!?! its not like hes played all season like ronaldo and scored an extra 5 or 6. one injury prone season and every1 is writing him off, even though minus drogba goals per game he is still one of the highest in the league.

rooney will never be top goal scorer in the epl. he drops of and collects deep. id be surprised to see him get 20 goals a season.

ronaldo has had one good season and you making him sound like the best player in the world (dont get me wrong i reckon he will be, but he isnt yet) and he isnt as good as henry is. henry has dominated the epl the past couple of seasons, and yet if he played all of this he could still easily of had 20+ goals. something man utd strikers havent been able to do. robin van persie has been out half the season and got more than the man utd stikers!

2 strikers with a 15 goals or 4 with 10 goals.

U do the maths.

I make it 3.

3 trophies that is.

Treble again Fergie?

Cheers

They should do whatever they can to keep Henry; try getting to the Champions League finals and World Cup finals in the same year without getting worn out. It is best to deal with the recovery now, rest him until the start of the season, and let him resume his magic in the fall!

[roseyc] wat r u on about robin van persie. i personally think he is rubbish and should not even play football. ur ratin him like he is world class. u cannot even compare him to rooney or ronaldo. their world class and better.

i thought this debate concerned henry (the man himself). why are we all going off topic? he is a huge loss for arsenal but get over it. its his first real injury in his career. he's comin towards the end of his good years so sell him and get someone young.

i agree with perfectliverpoolfan. i mean fair enough arsenal beat liverpool in the fa cup and carling cup BUT did you go on to win it? i mean thats wat a tourament is about. liverpool lost at emirates but arsenal are comin to anfield end of the month i can only see one winner: LIVERPOOL.

rvp rubbish? mate you clearly dont know what your talking about. most football fans altho dont like him, agree he has a huge amount of talent! his goals against blackburn showed his class, and im sure most rubbish players could of scored his volley against charlton when he was in mid air and still rifled it into the top of the net. rooney has had a bad season because he look slow and sluggish (spoken by a man u fan, not me).

and it sounds all to familiar. i got "oh, we'll beat u easily" when u came to the emirates, and then i got it again before the fa cup, how, we wouldnt beat liverpool at home, and then again before carling cup. and guess what?! we destroyed you in all 3 games!!

Haha, sorry, I've made the effort to sign up just to comment on something I've seen... Chambon...you're having a laugh, Van Persie? Rubbish? Thats like saying Dennis Bergkamp was a pub player.

And what exactly makes you so confident that Liverpool will win? I mean, you couldn't beat our baby squad, so imagine what a full team (which we definately won't have) would inflict upon you. And yeah, we knocked you out of the cups...maybe we didn't go on to win them, but against Chelsea, we had a team who would have roughly cost 16m? (and 3/4s of that is from Walcott alone) up against a team who cost about 286 million...YOU do the maths.
FA cup on the other hand, we was just pure unlucky, I mean, to dominate a game from start to finish...but lose 1-0...but to be fair it was a moment of magic from Benni McCarthy. Arsenal - Henry is like Man Utd - Scholes + Ronaldo, Liverpool - Stevie G, Chelsea - Terry (and we've all seen whats been happening there)

Henry, the igwe(means high chief in igbo land-nigeria) of arsenal. no doubt his absence in the club is greatly felt and the team could have done better wt him. thats not to say that he's indispesabu.just like henry says,
In football you always get judged on your last game. Whoever you are, or how amazing you are, it's the last game that everyone has seen. even wt his past acheivements, his past records still competes wt the present records of palyers like drogba et al.c'mn, wt we talking bout here. HENRY STAYS TILL HE WANTS. COZ I BELIEVE IN HIM.
