So it’s only buying the title when a Russian guy spends his personal fortune rather than the wealthy sponsors ploughing money into Man U when other teams don’t get nowhere the same funding.

I get it now.

doh Chelsea fans really cant accept the facts doh

The reason clubs like Watford etc don't have the money from sponsors is because they didn’t get to where they are but winning things we did, we started to win things generating more money from that etc we didn’t suddenly become rich overnight.

"But the fact is the only reson i dislike chelsea is because of their 'plastic' fans (glory hunters), which is why i never liked Real Madrid, Man U (not so much now as nearly all United fans left are true supporters)!"

What's your definition of a true supporter?

Everyone has to start supporting a team from somewhere... as long as they never alter allegiances.

My definition of a true supporter is somone who supports the team, and does not change that on how they are doing.

Fore example, 2 of my mates did this

One went form

Manchester United
West Ham
Liverpool
Manchester United
Cheltenham (his hometown team)
Manchester United

Another

Manchester United
Liverpool

Is it just me or is miking the Jump form old trafford to anfiled just show that your not a true supporter?

I have supported nottingham forrest, Man U and a couple others, but ever since i got into football I have supported Shrewsbury, and will do untill my dieing day!

If you will remain with Chelsea through the bad times as well as the good then fine, if not...then your not a true supporter!

You got your money your way (J.P. McManus and John Magnier, BSkyB, Sharp, Vodafone, AIG, Umbro, Nike) & Chelsea got it their way (from Matthew Harding, Ken Bates to Roman).

No matter how much you try to put yourself on a peddle stole for being virtuous & printing your own money everyone else knows where the money came from.

The bottom line is clubs with the most money are the most successful.

i went to my first game chelsea crewe in'89 supported chelsea every since including losing at forest 7-0, i've supported chelsea all my life, the same as my family and since moving to cheltenham i have followed the local side also. as my second club as it's alot cheaper and easier to go to see the local team that need the money then the millions at chelsea, although i did make the trip up to manchester city to see the chelsea game, i am a true chelsea fan. always have and always will be. chelsea may have bought success, but liverpool and utd have tried to also. who has succeeded!?

champions league winners, back to back league winners or a team trying to emulate the 90's success.... you decide.

The club's stadia should also be close to your home.

why? people in a certain line of work may have to move home with there family or otherwise in order to earn a living. location has nothing to do with who you support. it's the reasons why.

jam3sm; i was explaining my true fan-ness, although i am not local to chelsea, doesn't mean im not a true supporter having followed them when they were poor (in terms of quality) and then when they were very poor,

man utd have won 11 trophies in last ten years including the worthless, shields and club championship friendly thing. having spent around £300 million on players in that time.
and can realstically win 3 this year. how many of the big purchases have survived and are still able to bring success. veron? van n-rooy? yorke? cole? no.

liverpool have won 10 in the same space of time having spent about £285 million on players. and can only realistically win 1 this year. how many players remain from that spending, heskey, cisse the most expensive have long gone.

Chelsea have also won 10, having spent something in the region of £330 million, and can realistically win 4 this year. of all that money the majority of it is players are still in the team and still able to win trophies over the next 5 years or so.

who is the most successful!? who has bought success more than the others?

imho i don't think there is much to choose between any of them and that's why they are the 3 biggest clubs in the country over the last decade anyway.
