Why Chelsea will win...

FA Cup Chelsea
comment on the article

Hello all

My colleagues on the BBC Sport football desk are preparing a feature about Sunday's Chelsea-Spurs FA Cup quarter-final.

As part of the feature they plan to incorporate the thoughts of the fans on where the game will be won and lost.

So I'm interested in knowing why you think Chelsea will prevail?

Spurs fans needn't panic, my colleague Lewis has already put up a similar piece on why Spurs will win so feel free to have your say there.

But I want to know why you think a semi-final place beckons for Jose's boys?

I reckon Petr Cech's return gives us a huge lift and with Drogba in the form of his life we have the quality at both ends to progress.

But what are the other key areas? Chelsea's past record against Spurs, Mourinho's tactics?

Let me know - I'll be looking in for the next couple of days and really want to know what you think. On Wednesday we'll gather the best posts and use them in the feature on bbc.co.uk/sport.

That feature is due to be published on Friday, but obviously the conversation can continue right up to the game - which of course is live on the BBC.

Thanks JT's tackle - is Cech that good?

If so what makes him so special? Carlo was a great goalkeeper for us for a couple of seasons.

Cech simply controls more of his area than Carlo. They are both world class shot stoppers but Cech cut's out more crosses and is less hesitant coming off his line than Carlo. Carlo is an excellent keeper, Cech is better.

Owen, as JFDI says he really dominates his area which makes the whole back four more comfortable.

You can see a real confidence in the team that was missing before. We looked really vunerable at set pieces without him.

JFDI and JT's Tackle you both make really good points.

To my mind Cech is a great while Carlo was excellent without being world class.

The defence seems to repond to that, Cech's presence inspires them.

What about the league loss against Spurs in November? Did Spurs deserve it - was it Poll's fault? Or is that sour grapes?

I suppose it had to happen in the league sooner or later!

Are you worried that JT may not play?

We cant really blame poll for the Spurs result as we played better with 10 men?? Saying that the disallowed goal would have made it 2-0 and game over.

Spurs played well that day and beat us. We kind of owe them and we have the bit between our teeth at the moment. 1 defeat in 25 and that was at Anfield with no central defenders.

I also believe we need JT.

As for the gae at WHL Poll was dire but I do not blame him in the slightest, Spurs wanted it more and we started poorly.

I'll try but with an early kick off I will not be able to rely on my usual sedative (beer) to keep me calm and expect to be an extremely nervous chappie.
