Shame to see the lad go I thought he had some real promise for the future, but I guess we a little heavy on strikers at the moment so he wouldnt have got the games at Arsenal.

Bendnter has not been sold to Brum!!!!!!!!!

It is generally accepted that big clubs need 4 strikers - we've got Henry, RVP, Adebayor and Baptista. Lupoli sale made perfect sense

yeah cashley but alialdare i think was/is firmly in the shop window.

Bendtner is very popular with gooners i know, but i just dont see a place for him in our squad.

is he injured or has the goals just dried up for him at birmingham?

I am a manutd fan and i think wenger knows what he is doing so i would stay qieut and let him do his job. See what alex ferguson when manutd have gave him time, and more rectly look at postmount and thier manger, Harry has done well and people thougth last year was his last at the club but what a turn around, From a relgation team he has put them in plce for a top 6 place and the uefa cup is calling on his door.

Sad to see him go, but think that Bendtner is a better prospect. Although he seems to be a bit of a Blly big mouth and seems to have a lot to say for himself. Surpised though with someone of lupoli“s promise that they let him reach the end of his contract. Will we get compensation for him?

I don't think so. It's a shame to lose a good prospect, but I think he'll do a lot better in Italy, especially at Fiorentina.

Chickaan - You can also add Quincy Owusu-Obeyie to that list.

However I do not think this is a huge issue at the moment, as Arsenal have many strikers in the first team already, Adebayor, Van Persie, Walcott, and more.

Where would the likes of Lupoli and Stokes fit in? Chances are they would be either out on loan again. Which means it makes sense to sell them whilst they are young and promising and get some good money for them - for example Nicolas Anelka, bought for £500,000 and sold later for £22m!

Perhaps this would also have worked with Jeremie Aliadiere, a great player never really needed by the club, and had we sold him two or three years ago it would have made good money.

All you have to remember - 'Arsene Knows'!

its a bad deal for the whinging gooners in my eyes, as you could have got a few million for this tarlet and his goal last night showed why he is such a bright prospect!

I neva liked him, sure he can produce in the Championship, but we hav enough strikers, as well as players like Saviola wanting 2 come 2 the club. The player himself is OK, but I still don't understand why we sold Owusu-Abeyie last season, he looked like a real bright prospect, Lupoli jus looks like another average player that will improve, and will do well in Italy, becoz his style of play matches Serie A, he wud serioisly struggle with the pace and physical side side of the English game, and besides, he'd hardly get a look in neway with other young prospects coming through e.g. Bendtner.

Neither Quincy nor Lupoli are quite good enough. We still have Bendtner & Vela who are better prospects. Whether Bendtner will stay must, however, be in the balance but it's difficult to keep more than 4 strikers happy, fit & in form in any case so AW simply needs to decide who is most important.
