YOU'LL NEVER WALK ALONE rings around the Camp Nou...Barca fans are stunned into silence.

GOAL 1 Barcelona
The goal was set up by Zambrotta as he ran down the left after Gerrard missed a tackle; he put in a GREAT cross to the back post and Deco headed superbly into Reina's bottom left hand corner. Left-back Arbeloa's position was very questionable.

GOAL 1 Liverpool
The Barcelona defence were just asleep for that goal, they allowed Liverpool to take a quick free. It was floated into Bellamy at the back post. His header wasn't great but Valdes positioning was all wrong and while he stopped the ball he allowed it cross the line. Kuyt tapped it in just to make sure.

GOAL 2 Liverpool

And now LIVERPOOL HAVE SCORED RIISE!!!!

Set up by Bellamy would you believe it! The move started when Gerrard played in Kuyt, but Valdes rushed out to block the ball. Marquez then produced an AWFUL header that was brilliant controlled and laid off by Bellamy for Riise to hammer home.

Barca had many chances so did Liverpool i thought Barca would of won in the first 10 minutes by the amount of chances.

Well done Liverpool just because Barcelona won it last year it wont mean they will win again. But there is a second leg so you never know

What do you think?

Rocking reading
This just proves Liverpool are the best English team ever to exist. I'm a Reading fan but i admire Liverpool greatly. Rafa Benitez made a big decision in selling Owen, but, he has brought in some very good players such as ... Luis Garcia Dirk Kuyt Bellamy Pennant Reina and many more with not much money at all.

Liverpool's league form is a bit of a shambles for there quality of a team. Hicks & Gillet will turn it around i think. Bring in a bit of cash some leeway to spend.

On the other hand, Liverpool's cup form! Truly magnificent. Last year's champions league was a bit weak going out to Benfica but after they beat Barca last night! Well there the best team in Europe apparently so what does that make Liverpool?

There is still a chance to get help.....idiot

Chelsea supporter biggrin

The liverpool and barcelona game wasn't a great game, but credit to liverpool they stopped barca from playing and bloody got a win at the nou camp from their dedication and togetherness in the team which we the chelsea fans all no is hard work to beat the european champions.

People say that barca arn't as good as they were last season can i say that barca are THE best team in world football and should no how to play even when not on form i believe liverpool actually outclassed barca and desearved the win i bet from now on no other english side could do what they did at camp nou.

YOU SHOULD BE PROUD LIVERPOOL SUPPORTERS OF YOUR TEAM I THINK YOU PLAYED OUTSANDING AS YOU ALWAYS DO IN EUROPE AND FINALLY ENDED BARCA'S UNDEAFETED RAIN IN THE NOU CAMP IN EURPEAN FOOTBALL. PS I LIKE WATCHING YOUR TEAM PLAY IN EUROPE IT IS WOUNDEFULL TO WATCH. BUT MY HEART AND LOVE IS WITH CFC AND ALWAYS WILL BE.

COME ON THE CHELS!!!

"It's easy to see why Liverpool perform better in europe than the likes of man utd, arsenal, chelsea. By the time the knock out stages usally come around, liverpool has nothing to play for domestically except trying to secure a european spot. They therefore approach the european games like their lives depended on it so what do people expect?"

Errr Not sure how much I am prepared to accept that comment. Did we not win the FA cup in 2001 & 2006? League cups in 2001 & 2003? It isn't as though Liverpool want to fade into the night in the home cups.
