Arthurrrrr12 (U7635061) posted Mar 2, 2007 Thanks. I just write what i think, and when people say: 'all referees favour Arsenal, Chelsea, M.U and Liverpool, i replay:I donk know about Chelsea, M.U and Liverpool, but on Arsenal: arsenal broke the rules this season less times, then any other team, and most rule brakes this season where comited against Arsenal.

SnoopDonnyDog (U1948856) posted Mar 15, 2007 The FA should throw the book at Jewell and other Premiership refs who constantly harangue referees and blame them for their own mistakes. Did Phil Dowd buy Emile Heskey? Did he referee all the nine Premiership games that Wigan lost on the bounce?

scuffer_uk (U1975669) posted Mar 15, 2007 Well done Paul Jewell and the Wigan chairman for standing their ground on this issue. If what Jewell is saying is true, then he has every right to be incensed and infuriated by this charge. Referee's do good jobs week in week out regardless of the criticism they receive, as they ulimately make an exciting game what it is, based on their own opinions which can make and break games. However, there should be no place for referees who are arrogant, abusive and big headed. They should not be "untouchable" and if the allegations are proved then Mr Dowd should be severely and suitably punished. He is giving his fellow referees a bad name and should be ashamed of his actions.
