Birmingham v Stoke

Championship Birmingham City
comment on the article

Birmingham City boss Steve Bruce knows his side need to step up their game and grab a home win at St Andrews on Sunday.

And Stoke boss Tony Pulis's team have recovered from an awful start to the season to pose a threat to the play-off challengers.

Pulis will reshuffle in midfield where Darel Russell, Salif Diao and Lee Hendrie are all suspended.

Do you think Steve Bruce's side will beat their promotion rivals? Share your thoughts...

steve bruce's side are state the obvious probably the best or second best side in the ccc. We have quite a few players out but the players and spirit we have now we didnt have at the start of the season and still managed to get a draw.As everybody know's anybody can beat anybody on the day in this league so fingers crossed the potters can nick a win but i feel birmingham are our toughest opponents in this league and it will not be easy.

we will beat them. we got a fully fit squad and stoke have 3 first choice midfielders missing, and we have the home advantage and are much better than stoke. we will win.

Birmingham are much better than Stoke? And how do you reach that conclusion? You were outclassed when we played you at the Britannia and were lucky to escape with a point, and we have added several quality players since then. There is very little difference between any of the top 10 teams in the Championship and even with three first team midfield players missing, we will be looking to take three points on Sunday. As for home advantage, I fail to see how a half-empty St.Andrews will inspire your team. The majority of those who do bother to show up will be on the backs of both the team and manager if they are not in front within ten minutes,as they have deluded themselves into believing they are superior to the rest of the division. The sale of Upson to West Ham will only serve to increase the pressure, especially as you have not signed a replacement and it's not like Brum's recent form is going to worry anyone. COME ON STOKE!!!

Current league positions are not a true indication at the moment for Blues since we only played two games in January, if the two games in hand had been played then I dare say we would still be top or at least second.
The draw at Colchester last weekend demonstrated what Blues are all about, commitment to compete right until the end, despite going a goal behind, being one of only three teams to get anything out of a game there. Yes attendances are down at Blues this season but that didn't stop us going on the run that took us to the top, eight points clear. Since I have heard Stoke fans intend to boycott the game anyway, there won't be a lot of support for them either. From the info I have Stoke have taken less than 100 of their allocation so I dare say we won't be able to hear you anyway. We had our blip in January mainly because we weren't playing while everyone else was, Blues will be at full strength on Sunday where as Stoke will be without three important players especially Hendry. One for the pools.....Home Win. winkeye

Why are stoke boycotting the game? IS it becasue of the stupid pricing policy we have at the blues. £29 for a ticket.

I think it will be tough as Stoke have a decent defence. As for Being lucky for getting a point at Stoke i must disagree. We should have had all three if forsell had scored that penalty.

Anyway we have to win this and i predict a 2-0 win

the potters are gona strugle i reckon..without lee hendrie we dont look the same team and without salif steadyin up the midfield the likes of mcshefferey could dominate

Birmingham are a much much mcuh better side minus johnson.

He is good at one job and that is stifling the oppositions play maker, but against stoke what is the point.

The fans were screaming at Bruce to drop the usless one from the start for the impressive Larson.

Strange isn't it that blues impressive run before christmas started after their club captain got knobbled at West Brom.
