Small team syndrome

Premiership Everton
by Vincew (U6976009) 03 February 2007

So Rafa reckons Everton are a small team! On the basis of failing to win anything for years and relegation struggles over the last decade or so, do you think he's closer to the mark than you'd ever like to admit?

"No we are no longer in financial trouble don't you read the papers or have a TV? As of 06/02/2007 we have no debt at all!"

What kind of people believe everything that they read in the papers or see on TV?

Not very bright people, maybe?

Anyone with sense will wait before judging the wisdom of this take-over. Do not presume to know the intricacies of these financial arrangments based on a press conference.

Oh I'm sorry...have you seen the full breakdown of the paperwork??

I trust David Moores to have done the best deal for Liverpool FC and the fans! Not what's written in the papers but what he has said!

When Mr Moores speaks he talks sense when Kenwright talks it's all verbal diarrhoea!

Yawn, please shut you whiny idiots. Whichever muppet said that we gave Anfield to Liverpool should be embarrassed to call himself a football fan. Fact is, we've been offered opportunities to move to various sites in Liverpool and we were too tight to go for them. As of now we should forget talk of a 55'000 seater stadium and focus on the fact that we don't even fill our 42'000 seater stadium at Goodison.

I'd rather we gained another 4'000 seats at Goodison and stayed in Liverpool - what's the point in having a 'Merserside derby' otherwise if only one of the protagonists actually reside within the City of Liverpool? We should focus on building a team which can actually break into the top four before we get all ambitious.

Because in monetary terms and compared to so-called 'big four', we are a small team. Not a small club, but we are a small team. We did not show the same ambition as the bigger teams when we should have done so, and now we need to play catch-up as far as the squad goes. Let's focus on building a team which can actually stay in Europe for more than three hours, and then we can bitch and complain all we want about being called a 'small team' by the likes of that fat flatulent git. And I say this as a True Blue who loves Everton.

If you actually check your history youll find that everton left ANFIELD because of a rent increase which they were not willing to pay leaving the owner with a stadium and no team to play in it hence the formation of the BIGGEST club on merseyside.
All this talk of Pettiness on benitez's part is nonsense these comments are now old news but because evertonions(notice the SMALL case) have nothing to talk about they choose to drag it out its not news anymore people
