I cannot believe Andy Robinson has had the audacity to come out and condemn Brian Ashton's selection for the match against Scotland. After all the criticism he recieved and suffered for why pile it on the new coach in his first game? Does he think if he's right they'll give him his job back? No of course they won't! The very reason he lost his job is because he wasn't prepared to take the sorts of risks that Ashton is taking. The only way is up for English Rugby and that starts today with a solid performance against Scotland!!

I think it was one of the best selections ive seen 4 a long time. N i dont jnow y robinson can criticise it. he ran us into the ground. Come on england!

How is querying Wilkinsons place in the team going to help anyone. What an idiot, just before a game Robinson, to make a bit of money, says that he would not put Wilko in. I am sure that will instill alot of confidence, I am glad that Robinson is is no longer coach... he evidently did not have the teams best interests at heart.

I totally agree. I would have thought that Andy Robinson having been proved to have been ineffective as head coach would have kept quiet. Incidentally, will someone please do us all a favour and take Eddie Butler and Brian Moore outside an shoot them. After a first half of their bickering and inaccuracies I think they should be substituted with Bill McClaren.

Before the game: "Robinson queries Wilkinson choice." After the game: "Wilkinson scored 27 points, including a controversial second-half try." If Robinson was in any doubt about why he was dumped as coach he should have a look at the above two reports on this website.

Amen! They're really starting to spoil it for me.

Some good points, some not so good. Plenty of room for improvement, but I'll take the win gladly. Some good performances.

I think it's clear Brian Ashton got it spot on with the selection of players! I mean the fact Jonny Wilkinson was on the pitch spurred the players on even more. A player like Wilkinson has such a a high calabre anyway so whether or not he plays well he'll still up the rest of the team morale! and how he played today, nuff said, so all the people who doubted him...rethink!
