Sinclair set for big future?

FA Cup Plymouth Argyle
comment on the article

Scott Sinclair scored a simply sensational goal for Plymouth against Barnet in the fourth round of the FA Cup.

The 17-year-old, who is on loan from Chelsea, raced from one end to the other at breakneck speed before slotting Argyle's second to kill off the game.

Following the match people were lining up to praise him, including Plymouth boss Ian Holloway who described it as "an absolutely outstanding goal" and "a joy to behold".

Did you see it and what did you make of it?

And is this the first of many goals in an illustrious career or a false dawn for a youngster who will never make it at the highest level with Chelsea?

I reckon he has a big future but the problem is when you play at a big club like chelski then you are not likley to get an oppitunity because they are unlikley to take a risk on you and rather by proven talent

One game, one goal and he is gonna be great ?
Not if he stays at Chelsea with the rest of the bench warmers.

£200,000 they paid Rovers is near enough to robbery. Anyway, he wants to stay at Argyle (wishful thinking)

Several years ago Chelsea had another 'great prospect' in Leon Knight who came onto the pitch before Chelsea played ManU to sign professional. After spells with Brighton and Swansea he's now plying his trade with MK Dons.
I hope Sinclair does make the grade at Chelsea but I wouldn't bet on it.

Very good point about Leon Knight. He scored a record number of goals for the Chelsea reserves and had electric pace but has only managed as far as MK Dons. I suspect however, his small size and inability to fill out in muscle has held him back significantly.

I really hope it doesn't happen with Scott Sinclair.

It definitley is a little bit of an over-reaction though. Whilst it was a sublime goal, it was only ONE goal against low league Barnet.

I wish Sinclair all the best at Plymouth where he'll hopefully get plenty of chances and put up some healthy competition for The Walcott. The two are strikingly similar. However, the fact that Sinclair prefers the left and Walcott the right can only be beneficial to all - especially England.

(in responce to comment by Red army a little way up) Scott Sinclair has done it again! Another goal for the mighty argyle! His first goal made him a hero in that match and his second makes him a hero in this one! I think the boy has terrific potential but its a shame we probably won't be able to afford him when Chelsea realise what he has to offer. We all know hes too good for the greens but lets hope he can help us to get these points and help us in the FA cup! and at least we can say we helped make him a great player
