City fan here. I see Lawro has predicted your lot to beat us 2-1 on Sunday, therefore we are guaranteed a sure fire City win!
Joking apart, i guess you fancy your chances.I'm not too sure what to make of it but i will go for a narrow 2-1 win for the boys in Blue. I am sure you will have other ideas......

The gulf is certainly large. Most championship sides struggle in the Premiership unless they have money to spend. There are exceptions such as Wigan last season and Reading this year, but generally promoted sides have a torrid time. I cannot comment on Saint's prospects until i see them in action on Sunday.

I think the teams at the bottom of the premiership would also struggle in the Championship at any given time though.

Possibly but probably not to the extent that the likes of Sheff Utd and especially Watford have in the Premiership.

I suppose thats true...

But neither Saints, Crystal Palace or Norwich exactly excelled in the championship last year. It's a very different story with Birmingham, WBA and Sunderland this year though!

Soton have some quality players so it will be very difficult especially going forward, as we base our team on the defence stopping them scoring and hoping joey can get us the win.

Been to the game today - great result for the Blues 3-1. Hopefully we will get Utd at home in the draw tomorrow.

Just wondered what my fellow City fans thoughts are on the Stuart Pearce issue.

The club have issued a statement on the City Website saying he will not be given permission to manage the under 21s.

Will Pearce accept this, or will he walk if he doesn't get his way?

"The Championship is closer to the Premiership in ability than you would like to think."

I stand very much corrected after this weekend of Championship v Premiership games. Every result a championship loss. Very dissapointing! Congratulations City though. Hope you go all the way.
