i think we will see a couple more signings before the close of the transfer window, i belive gera is definatly coming and i think we might beable to get aliadiere aswell even though we despratly need a right sided midfielder and maybe a central mid as well as a new keeper to take over from schwarzer.

does anyone know if this gera plays on the right?

well done southgate for getting rid of two deadwood players that has now released £70,000 a week in wages that we could put to good use elsewhere.

Damn right - we've freed up some valuable wages, i'm starting to think he knows what he's doing too!

Lets hope he does some more wheeler dealing. I always believe a good judge of a manager in the transfer market is being able to pull off that loan signing that is totally out of left field - like Ferguson signing Larsson. I think Lee Dong-Gook has the potential to be an inspired free signing - lets hope so!

we need a good strong central midfielder. some one who can pass and track back. Would give us a decent spine of a team with woodgate at the back and Yakubu or Viduka upfront. Club also need to sort Vidukas contract out. Hes never really let us down and always bounces back from a bad spell to score or be involved in goals. maybe in summer be looking to get cover for schwarzer from a young player with potential to take over at number 1 in a year or 2. or else get rid o schwazer and get in someone like almunia or carson who are 2nd or 3rd choices and give em regular games.

Parlour was a bit of a waste and didnt do much which was a pity but thats what you get when you sign players who are on the wrong side of 28-30. there past it. Get rid of Maccarone now and Mendieta and we can use their salesmoney and wages to buy a decent player now or in the summer. Southgate should really buy players who are starting out or in mid carer and not past it and looking for easy football and large salary.

Why are ppl saying get rid of Shwarzer?? Do any football fans understand th role of a keeper, he is one of th best & most consistent in th league. Alumna?? U joking?! I'd rather put my great auntie in goal, she's blind in one eye!! Get a grip & learn footballing knowledge for christ sake!
