Tal Ben Haim will he now stay put

Premiership Bolton Wanderers
comment on the article

Now that Chelsea have ended their interest do we think he will stay . I hope he does but I still think he will go. As much as I think his true value exceeds the 2 mill bid it's what I expected for a player out of contract in the summer. I think we ought to be prepared for other bids from prem clubs and other leagues .

I can't see why Chelsea are even interested in Tal, he's simply not a good enough player to play for the premiership champions. Personally i hope they get him, they might find themselves more than 6 points behind United with a muppet like that in the team.

With all due respect utd4, Tal does have the ability to play in any of the top 4 teams.

Why do you say he is a muppet? I'd be interested to hear your views.

"As much as I think his true value exceeds the 2 mill bid"

When the total cost of the Arsenal back line didn't even come to this (actually, exclude Gallas from that), you have to think why would anyone pay more than 2million.

Haim is a good defender, but something about him - can't quite put my finger on it, makes him not quite top 4 material

Ginger gooner -
"that something" might just be because he's a Bolton player.
Same reason Nolan can't get in the England squad.

He'll stay until the end of the season, then go for nothing.

I just don't think he's good enough. With the type of money Chelsea have why are they looking at signing Tal when they could afford anyone they wanted, I'm sure if Maurinho told the board he'd leave if they didn't back him with cash they'd fork out straight away.

I hope tal stays at bolton because if he went chelsea any way he would only play one game and then once they have there defence sorted he wont play!

I would be very wary about going to Chelsea if I were Ben Haim. He would obviously be Mourinho's player and as soon as Mourinho leaves in the summer Tal would be left high and dry and in the reserves for life.

Sorry to say but its the same old story again and again at Bolton. The team starts to do well and some of its better players are talked about in the media and it goes striaght to their big heads. Rickets, Stubbs, McAteer, Fish - all got too big for their boots and Bolton too small a club for them. Tal should realise hes been given a chance to play first team football at the highest level he will ever achieve and potentially play in europe over and over again - a cup medal in either domestic or european competitions is not far away - he would never get that anywhere else as a 'squad' player making up the numbers. Wake up Tal - Bolton is the best place you could be right now. Sign a new contract and get your head down.
