Montella

Premiership Fulham

After being subbed on at half-time, almost suddenly Fulham were 3-1 down. Montella read the situation and dealt with it, within 15 minutes of playing the new Fulham striker scored a 12 yard shot and a header. Fulham were almost 'saved' by Montella. In the fourth minute of injury time Wayne Routledge scraped a winner. Chris Coleman and the whole of Fulham can be proud of an excellent signing. Montella has a bright future at Fulham, the tides are turning.

I can safely say that Montella was the difference between the two teams!

I can safely say that Mr Prem ref Wiley screwed right up with the winner. Routledge clearly pulled Maybury back for the winner and play should have been brought back for the original infringement.
But hey who cares about Leicester when you have to get back to staffs before the really bad weather takes effect.
Cracking game of football that could have gone either way but Not decided in the right way.

Totally agree with Cynicall_Sid. ALL the match reports today, including the BBC's own (Paul Fletcher) have failed to acknowledge that Routledge clearly grabbed the shorts of a Leicester player en route to goal. The apparent 'foul' that Wiley played advantage for (ignoring his assistant who was frantically waving!) was committed BY ROUTLEDGE and not any of the Leicester players he beat. Mr Wiley needs to take a good long look at the BBC highlights and ask himself 'did I misinterpret what my Assistant was trying to tell me?'. Any decent ref - and lets face it, Wiley has been around the block - should have consulted with the assistant before allowing the goal. Fair play to Routledge, because under severe pressure he got through 4 players and then the keeper to slot home, BUT rules is rules! In Spain or Italy he would probably have been booked - Gods knows, everyone gets booked for shirt pulling there, so why not for short pulling? As a lifelong Foxes fan, I'm gutted we're out of the Cup, especially to a dubious decision in the 94th minute. That said, great game, well done Fulham, and best of luck in the next round.
