Sacking is so short sightedCoventry City by NoWaySk8 (U7152124) 17 January 2007 Once again an MD sacks the manager after a few bad results. Good luck in attracting another manager Coventry. Jimmy Hill perhaps? You deserve all you get like we did under Rupert Lowe. Latest 10 commentsRead members' comments or add your own

legendaryGREEN4EVER (U5038851) posted Jan 18, 2007 I personally think that Mickey Adams is a decent manager and would have turned your fortunes around eventually. As a Plymouth fan I am a bit worried about your next fixture against Plymouth because once a manager is axed all the players seems to want to pull together for the next watching manager and most of the time get a win. I saw that CARRUMBA stated in his message something about a 1 million pound donkey. Is he referring to Elliot Ward? If so Elliot was superb down at Plymouth on loan so If u dont want him anymore please send him down to us. Anyway I dont think Coventry will be in the bottom 7 or 8 come the end of the season. Once your next match is over against Plymouth then a wish u all the luck for the rest of the season.

He's not mobile eneough. Perhaps he should drop into midfield where we lack a 'general'. That's where the game was lost on Tuesday. Osbourne, Tabb, Birchall? Even Doyle and Hughes. Who's the playmaker?

seaniomac (U7159973) posted Jan 18, 2007 An absolute disgrace to sack Micky Adams. Once again fickle support has pressurised a board into making a knee jerk decision.Realistically Adams did not have sufficient resources to realistically get Coventry back to the premiership and I think the board know that hence the bullet for adams. Coventry are nowhere near a return to the Premiership and McSheffery was not going to get them there alone, the damage was done by Strachan taking them down! Dowie will be next in at Cov no doubt.....................

seaniomac (U7159973) posted Jan 18, 2007 I am convinced it will be Martin allen from MK Dons, another enthusiastic manager with great potential. Alternatively what about Peaky and Oggy what have they got to lose.

citychik7 (U7142959) posted Jan 19, 2007 Firstly we're all talking about how unfair Eric Black was treated when he was sacked, do we not think MA was 2? the borad went behind he's back and showed no support whats so ever. Letting Micky Adams go was probablly one of the most stupid things to do at this moment in time.

deleismagic (U3745683) posted Jan 20, 2007 I have a mate who is a Leicester fan and he says he is not at all suprised by what has happened. At first Micky will do well and the fans will love him, then he will make very poor signings (Keown!, Dabizas etc) and eventually the team will underperform and now leave us with players who are not good enough for this club and people we will be unable to get rid of (McKenzie, Kyle, Birchall? not sure what people think but im not sure he can cut it in the Championship, def not in the prem where we are told we will be.)
