Have to say Well done Lads you done all us Wednesdayites proud 2nyt never made it easy and done your best, for me though i would have to say that Barton was the man that took the game by the scruff of the neck and won it without him i could have seen us win that 2nyt,

But some good things occur we get a profitable reward for the 2 legs we show the nation we can play good football 1st half more so and that even peter reid said we could be good contenders to go up!

COME ON YOU OWLS NOTHINGS IMPOSSIBLE

BEING REALISTIC WE MAY NOT GET AUTOMATIC PROMOTION

BUT THE PLAY OFFS ARE DEFFERS A GOOD CHANCE!

As proud as I am of the blue and white wizards over both games, I thought the gap was evident. City closed down far quicker and lasted the pace. Our lads looked tired in the last ten minutes. MCFC also had the benefit of bringing in Barton for the replay. That boy is class.

Saying that we didn't look that far off being the side we hope can play Premiership teams every week. When you look at the age of the team and the fact they have now been together for three years it's coming good.

Keep the faith. If it isn't this year it will be next year. Wednesday are back....? winkeye

I thought that end of the day it was the pace in defense that cost us and a bit of woeful shooting. Coughlan and Bullen are both experienced die hard defenders but they lack pace, and against another striker with some confidence we would have been punished, which proves how key Bougherra is to us. Also, there was a period where we were just knocking the ball long and panicking when we really needed to get it down and start playing some football. Again, I think the fact Madjid wasn't playing was vital as even in the scrappiest and most tense moments he'll look for that pass.

Tudgay has lost the confidence he had earlier on this season. He had 2 golden opportunities which he should really have done better and at least get on target.

MacLean and Bullen impressed me. MacLean showed that he's getting back to his best and Bullen emphasisied the spirit that every Wednesday fan wants to see out there.

Crossley should be given a mention, half the pub last nite must have been wondering why i looked so distraught when he was down injured, but I feared at the time that had it been serious that was our season gone. But thank god nothing too bad and the comedy runs upfield at the end were just pure comedy. Firstly because of the tackle and the second, because he got half way and think he got a stitch.

Anyways, happy enough with the performance, but with Bougherra playing and a more confident Tudgay things could have been different.

City always had another gear if they needed it. You tuesday lot are way off the mark. We got the goal and were comfortable but then conceded a stupid goal any team could have lost from a set-piece. As soon as you equlised we upped the tempo and scored again. It was comfortable for us and your dreaming if you think you'll make the play-offs with that team.

No.
What you mean to say is that you SHOULD have been comfortable.

Unfortunately you ARE clearly suffering from poor finishing .... but that's not news to anybody.

( Vassell was particularly wasteful despite the one he finally got )

He's lost his bottle in front of goal for my money.

Most other prem strikers would have at least converted 2 of those.

As for us, We still carved out a number of good opportunities and if we'd taken one of them things may have been different.

Anyway, that didn't happen good luck to you in the next round, you should fettle Southampton, but the big boys will find you out after that.

Yep, I was at the game last night and I have got to admit that your fans did you proud! Gave as good as they got for much of the game, and was funny to have a slanging match! Your side had quite a few decent chances, and maybe should have scored a couple of more in the second half infront of your own fans. That said, both side's suffered from a lack of consistency infront of goal. I agree, Barton controlled and dictated the game, and without him, we might have struggled in that tie, and it could have been a different story at the end of the day! Once again, well played Wednesday and hope you do make the play-off's as I look forward to facing you next season in the Premiership.

SIR JOEY FOR ENGLAND!!!!!!!!!!

At last, now we can smile. During the past year Joey Barton has been in the press for more of the wrong reasons which have been totally unnecessary. After reading many inappropriate comments about his performance or attitude, I can now safely say that these comments have been put to rest and the fools who write them are bowing their heads in shame. Sir Joey has been a role model beyond expectation after coming from an independant medioca footballer to a key player to manchester city despite the past attempted efforts from the press to bring him down.

Thank you Joey for your commitment to city.
(also, can anyone get me his number lol)
