A Statement from David Murray

Scottish Premier Rangers

comment on the article

I think that after this farce David Murray needs to make a public statement and answer the questions relating to the state of Rangers Fottball Club.

We need to know why he has allowed Barry Ferguson back into the team, why he has allowed the incompetent Iain Durrant in charge of all footballing matters and what he plans to do to cambat the demise of Rangers Fottball Club.

We need to know

1 Why Barry Ferguson was allowed to be re-instated to the team.

2 How Andy Webster managed to get injured in his first training session.

3 Who is actually deciding that players such as Andy Webster should be signed.

4 Why players are alledgedly turning up severely hungover for work, especially in such a high paid professional job. If it was me in my job it would be considered a disciplinary matter, why has this not been the case at Rangers Football Club. Would David Murray tolerate any of this at his other companies. I think not.

5 What does the future hold for Rangers Football Club. Do we have a transfer budget for any new manager to turn things around.

6 When does Mr Murray plan to sell our club and what plans does he have for the future investment and security of Rangers Football Club.

Of course, we only expect a wall of silence on these issues.

Who knows. Maybe if Barry sells enough of his autobiography he can buy the club.

Why not get Sooty and Sweep? Sooty could bring his magic wand and fix all the problems instantly, whilst Sweep could buy the kebabs and organise the team beanos to Newcastle. After all the team that drinks together wins together.

Izzy wizzy lets get busy!

Well said. Or well asked. And I don't think the sensible majority of Rangers fans should stop asking these questions until we get an answer. I am so insensed about all of this I am considering not returning to support the club I have followed all my life. I am particularly disgusted that we have lost a manager who tried to put an end to the drinking culture and instil
a more professional regime, instead of the overpaid players who lord it up on our season ticket money. If we don't get a response, I know where they can stick their money for ever more.

The sad thing about Saturday is that if Rangers had beaten Dunfermline it would have been reported as a giant killing result. That's how far they have fallen.

What is the big deal about RFC? The media are obsessed with what is going to happen next at Ibrox, when most of us could not give a toss!
THERE ARE MORE THAN TWO TEAMS IN SCOTLAND.

The worst thing about the whole PLG affair is that no decent manager in his right mind will touch the Ibrox job now as they will know they have no money to spend and that the Managing Director is likely to back the likes of Barry Ferguson over them in any dispute. In short, if things look bad now, they seem likely to get worse before they get any better. Right now, I bet most Rangers fans would grab your arm off if you offered them second place in the SPL this season. How the mighty have fallen.

Sir David cannot be a happy man this morning as Rangers credibility just seems to plunge lower and lower by the week! along with his investments in the club.
The Rangers supporters are quite correct to ask for an explanation to many questions, not just those that you have raised, after all they are what Rangers are all about and Rangers supporters will vote with their feet.
Personally I feel totally "gutted" and Sir David will have to clarify to the supporters just exactly what is going on at the club and to resist from making statements such as he is reported as saying "that there will be no more foreign Coaches at Ibrox" which must work wonders for the moral of those players at the club who are not of British orign. If the truth were told he would be lucky to get an illegal immigrant willing to take on the job so Walter you`ve been warned! sadface

I think Paul Le Guen was doing a fantastic job. We are second in the league and won't give up on winning it and we have seen off some of the best teams in Europe in the UEFA cup. I fancy us to get to the final and if Celtic can nearly win it (sniggers at the thought of their deimse) then wecan go one better.
The future is good with Sir Walter and Super Ally MBE in charge. Remember we are the people and our forefathers never fought for us to just surrender it all away.

I agree with jamesmcbride85 that Ferguson works very hard, but that's no good if it's at the price of breaking up the team structure; a well-organised side will nearly always beat an aimless one that's just 'getting stuck in' as seems to be the way in Scottish football. LeGuin seemed to be trying to change that, and came unstuck because the hard-living, hard-drinking, hard-playing, soft-training and, worst, soft-thinking Scottish clique in the Ibrox dressing room wanted nothing to do with it. His big mistake seemed to be poor signings, but maybe these imports were just plain bewildered at what was going on. What Ferguson did to the club (highlighted when he claimed to be more important than the manager) was unforgivable. So, too, was Boyd's public '6' signal of support. On the grounds of club discipline alone, David Murray should immediately have put both on the transfer list and banned them from Ibrox for life.

Rangers are looking at some sort of dream ticket, old favourites should never be brought back.
You move forward with fresh ideas, if the players cant adapt to a new manager they should be punted.
Results maybe rotten, but you have to look at the long term good of the club.
If it takes two years to sort the mess out, people should respect that and back the club and manager.
