Sheffield Utd 0-3 Swansea

FA Cup Swansea City

Swansea City claimed a famous FA Cup win as the League One side outplayed Sheffield United on the Premiership team's own Bramall Lane ground.

Thomas Butler was the Blades' tormentor scoring two goals and earning the penalty that Leon Britton converted.

First Butler shot home through a crowd after good work from Bayo Akinfenwa, then coolly struck a left-foot second.

A spot in the fourth round was secured when Derek Geary sent Butler crashing to earth in the United penalty area.

A great result for Swansea. Who would be a good draw for the fourth round?

So once again we have a Premiership club claiming a weakened team when losing to lower division opposition.
Surely the Premiership squad at Sheffield should be of a quality to put up a better performance.
As a long time & now "exiled" Swans supporter I say "Well done the Swans" and thanks to those Sheffield fans gracious enough to admit their squad were beaten by a better team on the day. I would like to add that I hope Sheffield are NOT one of the unfortunate 3 at the end of the season.
Pity about the 4th round draw but showing my age I remember Swans beating Sheffield Utd in the early rounds and going on to the semi finals .

If both teams keep playing like that expect them to be playing each other in the Championship next season. Sheffield United's lack of squad depth has been made embarrassingly clear before, when they played my team (Spurs) this season. They lost three of the 11 that turned out against Liverpool and what happened? 2-0 after 17 minutes and game over, and games against Spurs are NEVER over even if you're 3-0 down, for heaven's sake (although it appears that this only applies to the Mancunian teams).
Swansea, keep it up, United, sort it out. Now.

Great result at the Blades. Get through the next round and get a good home draw against a biggie and I will fly over. It's a long way from Liberty airport New York to Liberty stadium, I KNOW, been there twice plus the Milleneum last year
