Premiership West Ham United

Hammers legend Julian Dicks has blasted Nigel Reo-Coker's performances in the field, he has said he plays like he really doesn't want to be at West Ham Football Club. Dicks has also said they should get rid of Marlon Harewood, although the whole team were pathetic against Reading, are those two players in particular to blame?

If all the current players had 10% commitment of JD, we would not be in this mess. Tev, Yossi and Green are the only ones that can still hold their heads up. Teddy still has the mind to do it, but the legs are fading fast. Give Mascherano and Noble their chance now - they cannot possibly do any worse. This is poss the worst WH team I have seen in the last 30 years!

Newcastle fan here just wondering what the thoughts were of the WHU fans at the possibility of Pardew keeping charlton up at the expense of West Ham?

I think he is right to insult the performances of players such as Nigel and Marlon,(and the behaviour of reo-coker towards pardew when he was our manager) but I think Julian forgot about one player who has been terrible since joining the club. That person is Robert Green. He was the worst player on the team when we played Reading recently, and though none of the West ham players particularly played well, I think he stood out. I also would criticise the defending. steam

Both failed to sparkle this season. But both done the club proud last season and were instrumental in the success we recently had. It's up to the coach to get the best out of them. Up to now Curbishley have failed in that aspect but I have believe in him and in the players

You WHAT elmo?? Rob Green?! He's been easily the best player in these last few awful games and has pulled off some amazing saves!! Were you not watching against Man Utd for instance? Kept us in it on his own practically. You fool!

I disagree about Harewood, people have always targeted him since he came to West Ham and I think it's unfair given the number of goals he scores when he's getting good service. There are virtually no strikers in the Prem who could score consistently if those around them were playing so atrociously.

He's been labelled as a 'lazy player' for years but I've never seen why. He generally makes life very awkward for defenders and at least puts himself about a fair bit. Last season, he scored 18 goals in the process. I'd hang on to him.

Dicks for manager. Julian Dicks is 100% spot on when he named those 2 players (NRC and Marlon) as the first two he would get rid of. I personally would also get rid of 2 other trouble makers, Anton and Mullins. All 4 of those players seem to think they run the club, and stay within their own clique. They just arnt team players. Actually I retract that on the part of Marlon, he is a team player, but should not be playing in a Premiership team, he is quite possibly the worst striker in the Prem. Curbs needs to play Javier and Tevez. Tevez is world class. Olympic Gold medal (carried his team almost on his own....Maradona 86?) 3 times South American player of the year, and he cant get into a sh*t West Ham team ahead of Big Marlon and Bobby Zee? Curbishly, are you tactically naieve or is there something in their contracts youre not telling us? C'mon Curbs, dont be another Pards, build the team around Carlos and Javier and get rid of the no good for nothings, they will just drag you, the team and the fans down (then move to another premiership club for next to nothing and ruin them as well)

Hi, I wonder if one of you Hammer's fans could tell me what role Nigel Reo-Cocker played in the sacking of Alan Pardew? I've heard a lot of people say this but I've never actually known what it is that he did. Anyway, good luck to West Ham, I really hope they do stay up.

its an hard question as to wheather dicksy is right or not and reo coker and harewood are solely to blame but something had to change and i just think the wrong sackings were made ,reo coker last year was a revelation for us this year what a donkey ,and harewood never liked him always missing somewhere on the pitch ..so lets cash in and offload two players who dont want to be at west ham and with the money we can then get some proper players in ,like maybe the welsh dragon ( robbie savage)love or hate him he dont go missing for one minute in a game and delivers the best ball from midfield in the country .we badly need a right back and right sided midfielder and thats it we have some of the best firepower in the premiership when there all fit

Gooners are nothing without Henry! And Oh how obvious that has been recently. Maybe you should buy Marlon Harewood, then at least I'll know two Arsenal players!

I didn't want to say anything until i saw the above. Whoever published that is ignorant. Henry wasn't there when arsenal beat manu, chelski etc. NRC is a wonderful midfielder but the problem with westham started with the speculation of westham being sold and whether pardew will stay or go and your press contributed to the problem. when WH were not winning the press attributed it to the two argentines disrupting the team and started a campaign of hate against the argentines by refering to westham as an english club thereby planting dangerous seeds in the minds of the players. Pardew cannot overnight become a bad coach and players have difficult times and in those times the supporters like WHF should stay with them. WHF are the only ones moaning among the teams that are in the relegation zone about this player or that player. Where was dicks when westham were relegated? please support ur team and try to push them out of relegation like the charlton fans are doing. Finally tevez and mascherano are too good for WH and that is why teams want them even though your coaches don't want them.
