Antti Niemi has been released from hospital after being cleared of serious spinal damage following a nasty fall in Fulham's 0-0 draw with Watford.

It's a miracle that he's walked away from this unharmed, it's just I've seen less than that and people out for months on end. The incident was so bad, I couldn't even watch the replay because it put a shiver down my spine.

Someone was watching over him he is one lucky man so relived not just for him obviously but fulham es a teriffic keeper.

when i first seen it i thought "OH MY GOD HE LANDED ON HIS HEAD" im just shocked he is alright. Every time i saw it again it made me feel a little sick i would never want that to happen to anyone

Very fortunate to come away with any serious injury; would have been horrible for a great keeper (or any other player) like him to have serious spinal damage, I certainly cringed when I saw the replays.

They build 'em tough up in Oulu, you know. Now on a frozen pitch, that MIGHT have been nasty.
