Arsenal 4-0 Charlton

Premiership Arsenal
comment on the article

Arsenal captain Thierry Henry returned from his injury lay-off to inspire the Gunners to a win over 10-man Charlton.

Henry slotted home the opener from the penalty spot after Osei Sankofa was sent off for fouling Robin van Persie.

Henry then played a fine one-two with Justin Hoyte for the defender to slot past Scott Carson, who had already magnificently saved from Cesc Fabregas.

Van Persie scored another spot-kick after Souleymane Diawara fouled Henry and then chipped in a fine late fourth.

Give your thoughts on the match.

Arsenal Dgunners as we are called played the best game in the world to me with the likes of fabregas, hleb, rosicky, henry (called igwe in nigera) and the rest of the team
and i believe that arsenal are going top in the premiership this season, cause we are meeting up with chelsea and manutd very soon, and they should be expecting the very best of arsenal when all our player are fully fit for the challeng ahead.

Be warned Chelsea and Manchester United

4-0 is obviously a comfortable victory. What I want to know is why RVP does not take penalties instead of Gilberto or Henry? Not just because of that penalty, but remembr in the FA Cup final against Man U on penalties, and Sunderland in the CArling Cup last season, he is our best penalty taker...good performance boys!

What have Utd and Chelsea actually got to be scared of Goons?

Sure last night you played well and scored 4 good goals. Your play, at times, is a joy to watch. But as soon as you go north of Coventry your bottle goes and Wenger starts crying that team are too physical!

Here's an idea Arsene...you could blame everyone else for your failings OR buy a CM who's not gonna be bullied and then you might scare Utd and Chelsea!

Arsenal play the best football.

They were my pick at the start of the season.

Problem is they have struggled to put the ball in the net really quite embarrissingly on occasion, now the gap is too big.

Arsenal will be third or forth.

Man U and Chelsea 1st and 2nd

Liverpool and Arsenal 3rd and 4th

FABREGAS, HENRY & VAN PERSIE
were absolutely amazing last night. They played classy football and deserved the win.
Well done lads!

Hleb comes back into the side, a 4-0 victory.

Co-incidence? I think not.

LOL...
Interesting, Hleb actually has the highest loss/match ratio on the team. We've lost/drawn 11 matches, 9 of which he's started.

Easy 3 points with injuries to 4 major Charlton players and a sending off. The perfect game for Henry to come back in to, he was majestic and hleb, rosicky, fabregas and V.Persie were also amazing with their attacking runs and 1-touch play. Henry looks back almost 100% and will put a big performance in against Liverpool and I see us scraping that with a slightly rested side by 1 goal to nil. V.Persie is definitely going to be a Premiership legend before his playing career is over (unless he goes abroad). Hleb and Rosicky are quality and are going to improve, and if Fabregas keeps playing as well as he is and keeps developing, he will be Fifa World Player of the Year very quickly. I am starting to believe Wenger when he says we dont need anyone in the January transfer window. biggrin
