WEST HAM AVOIDING DROP?

Premiership West Ham United
comment on the article

According to the IRIB News Agency, Curbishley stated that he is confident that West Ham can escape being dropped. I am currently hearing Kickin Off With Nihal at BBC Asian Network, they reported about West Ham having problems with its game against Manchester City?

What are the possibilities of West Ham avoiding being dropped in the Premiership?

Bread and butter? Sorry, but there are no bread and butter points for the likes of West Ham. Especially considering the fact that this is only their second season in the top flight, and a lot of these lower half sides have been established in the prem for a lot longer than that.

The proof is in the proverbial pudding. WHU are in the bottom three, on their second manager, and struggling to score goals. The fact is that there are no easy games in the prem, and this is certainly the case for the likes of West Ham. If the players approach any of their remaining games adopting the attitude that you have displayed here (ie ideas above their station), then they are in for no end of problems.

Well, to be honest... there are two players that fit the bill for us... and i think could bring us out of the position pardew and the players have got us into, niko kranjcar and CSKA striker Vagner-Love... i'm not sure they'd want to be rid of vagner-love but would be a very good investment!!! but i think those two positions (AMF and CF) are the weakest points in our play at the moment

From what I have seen today the problem with WH is very very simple. Come January all Curbs got to do is to get two good defenders two good midfielders and a goalscorer. Im sorry to say but some of our players are mediocre.

Listening to Curbishley afterwards it was obvious it's dawned on him what a task he has. It won't be long before Charlton jump over us and prove it wasn't Pardew it was the players!!! They need to show some heart and it's time for a change in midfield. Give Noble a chance for a start.

I believe West Ham are doomed. I think Pardew has totally rejuvenated the Valley and i believe Charlton will finish above West Ham. The players at West Ham just dont seem to be responding at all and West Ham's football in the last two matches have been abysmal. It doesnt matter if Lippi and Ferguson together went to manage West Ham as the players there just cant be asked whatsoever. Charltons players have been totally rejuvenated by Pardew and this rejuvenation can keep Charlton up but Warnock has Sheff Utd working liek mad dogs and no doubt Warnocks men will be giving 150% every match just to stay in the league. The difference between West Ham and Charlton/Sheff Utd is that Charlton and Sheffield United players are fully committed to their cause. They really want to stay in the premiership and really wanna fight and put in 200% to stay there. West Ham players like Reo-Coker couldent care less as they know that if West Ham go down they (the players) can go to a premiership club whereas in Reo-Cokers case would be Arsenal or Spurs. The West Ham supporters and manager are being totally conned by the prima-donna players. It really is pathetic and if i was a Hammers fan my blood would be boiling

Curbishley will buy the players we need in the transfer window. magic He will get rid of the deadwood too. Everything will come up Claret and Blue again in 2007, no matter what UnbeatableRonaldo’s 007 brain cells incline him to think.

I cant see us (WHU) staying up. The performance against Man City and Portsmouth was terrible. I honestly cant see why Curbs was appointed in place of Pards anyway. Curbs is no better than Pards. I believe that the only slim hope of WHU stayin up is i we get a few big names in in January. eg. SWP. Forget Upson and other Championship players and reserve prem players (which is what Curbs is used to buyin) and get ome quality into the team alongside Benayoun and Tevez who I believe have been the only ones tryin this season (along with maybe Mullins, which only happened when Mascherano arrived)The players should want to play for the club and at the moment they are showin no desire.

COME ON WHU GIVE US HAMMERS FANS SOMETHING TO SMILE ABOUT!!!

I wish Man City had half of your players. There is real quality in your squad which took you to the FA cup final last year. This time last week I was expecting City to have swapped places with you in the bottom 3. The reason why we havnt is pure & simply luck. City could so easily have lost both games against Sheff United & West Ham. They have certainly played better and lost on many occasions this season. So what West Ham needs right now is luck, which you got against Man United.

I think we (WHUFC) will just pull through after jan, it's not too later for the claret and blue army. We have some brilliant players, i.e yossi benayoun, tevez, macherano, they just need a couple more games. WHUFC are better off without pards, as the media said, he's only good for promotions and getting teams up there, once they are there he's a very laid back and mediocre manager. Anyway i can see the light at the end of the tunnel, we'll beat the drop, but we definately need curbs to break his rule of only signing small names, and get some more class in the club. lee

The West Ham performace against Reading today has been absolutely abysmal and pathetic. Shocking and as ive mentioned earlier on saturday it doesnt matter if Ferguson/Lippi come into manage the club right now as they still wont be able to put things straight. Charlton seem totally rejuventated and Warnock has his team giving 150% every match. I believe the difference between the Sheff Utd players and Charlton under Pardew is that their players really want to stay in the premiership and want to give 100% every match to achieve that goal. The West Ham players like Reo-Coker cant care less as they know at the end of the season they'll be moving on to play for premiership teams which in Reo-Cokers case is dreaming of playing for Arsenal or Man Utd
