Chelsea and England captain John Terry has undergone surgery in France on his back injury.

"The operation to remove a sequestrated lumbar intervertebral disc was successful," said a Chelsea statement.

Terry has missed Chelsea's last four games, which has seen them concede six goals in three league matches.

Chelsea, four points behind league leaders Manchester United, did not say how long they expected the 26-year-old Terry to be out of action.

This is all a publicity stunt for Chelsea and some fairly rubbish psychological warfare against Man Utd by Mourinho. He'll be out for at least 4 weeks.

Well he's trainging and he's at the match, so obviously this surgery is not as serious as was feared?

Anyhow, the back four look a bit leaky at the moment, so we'll see how the second half goes on.

i don't agree you are missing terry as much as you think.your problem started with ashley cole and gallas swapping clubs.it's obvious that you miss gallas more than you needed ashley cole.it is down to mourinho.the whole transfer saga was a mess from day 1 and now it's come back to haunt you.

Don't blame Moronio. It was Kenyon who was the key person who tapped him up. Once his head was turned, perhaps Moronio felt obliged to sign him?

We all hope JT comes back ASAP, to stop all this ridiculous Chelski whinging.

If he returns against Wigan, can someone tell me how that will compare will the injuries United have suffered to Park, Ole, Heinze and G Nev?

That is not a complaint by the way. Injuries happen and United just get on with it! There's a lesson in there somewhere for all at Chelski.

The absence of Terry is not the major problem: Cech's is!
Would United be so high in the table with the 3rd goalkeeper? Remember all the years where your FIRST keeper was not good enough (after Schmeichel) and reconsider.

So now Terry will be back imminently, and even Peter Cech is due back before the end of the month. Good news for Chelsea fans.

Is J. Cole really out for the season? Bad news for England fans...
