Stupido Benitez, stop rotatingPremiership Liverpool by demiClogboy (U6780762) 26 December 2006 When will this guy understand that when his team is doing well he should leave his fingers out of the paella and let the winning side continue. It is not the first time he has changed a winning side and been on the end of a wastefull opportunity to close the gap on Chelsea. Yet to change his winning team against a side that has been spanked by Arsenal 6-2 only days aearlier, is playing at home on Boxing day, has an ex-player returning to Ewood Park for the first time since leaving, and to then put Peter Crouch on instead of Dirk Kuyt (who has put together some great performances alongside Bellamy, it makes me wonder what needs to happen to make him realise that it does not work. Did he really think Blackburn would not put up a fight in this encounter?! Latest 10 commentsRead members' comments or add your own

Liverpool andy (U6487014) posted Dec 27, 2006 did anyone see riise after the game laughing and clapping to the fans, he obviously doesn't care about the club and just tries scoring ridiculous goals everytime he gets the ball which 19 times out of 20 go miles over the bar

Donjuan_1691 (U5834328) posted Dec 27, 2006 Rotating the squad is normal for clubs playing in 4 competitions so lay off benitez and face the real issues. YOUR PLAYERS ARENT GOOD ENOUGH! ManU played with 6 starters out and still managed to destroy wigan, who are a hundred times better than blackburn. Blame benitez for terrible players he bought not for his in-match coaching and preparation. Someone must get it throgh his brain that this EPL not La Liga.

Red Marauders (U1752794) posted Dec 27, 2006 What makes me laugh is how you can't help but let your prejudice shine through even when you're trying to make a genuine point. The truth is what happened at Blackburn can and does happen to many teams, even ManU and Chelsea who think they're above this. Chelsea were beaten at Spurs in similar fashion. ManU were beaten at West Ham,Celtic, FC Copenhagen and Southend (was it?) in similar fashion. It happens. Sometimes no matter how much you batter a team you're just not meant to win a game. So to judge how good a team is based on one game is at best juvenile. It doesn't matter where Bolton are or aren't at the moment, the time to judge a team is at the end of the season when the silverware has been distributed and the CL spots earned.Reading your post one would think Bolton have not lost a game this season. We lose one we should have won comfortably and suddenly we're a midtable team! How does that work out?-----------

LIVER_LAD84 (U6908827) posted Dec 27, 2006 spot on red marauder, some very good comments at last some sense, we win several games across all competitions on the bounce and then pummel blackburn which if it wasnt for some bad luck and some heroics from brad friedel we would of won, all of a sudden the rafa bashers come out and slam his tactics, the sheer amount of fixtures the top clubs have to play is immense the rotation system has to be done otherwise a solid 11 would be burnt out long before now. Chelsea, man u and arsenal do exactly the same and they have come unstuck more than once this season in a similar fashion.
