Aston Villa 0 - 3 Manchester United

Manchester United returned to form with a convincing victory at Aston Villa.

Villa were unfortunate not to take the lead when Craig Gardner headed against a post before United took control.

Cristiano Ronaldo lashed home the opener after a great solo run before Paul Scholes crashed home an unstoppable 25-yard volley.

United, who started with Wayne Rooney on the bench, added a third when the impressive Ronaldo slid the ball in from a Gary Neville cross.

Not so long ago you guys were complaining that Roben is the most selfish player on the planet. I agree with thetunnel that Balack was such a waste. It seems that he is spending his vacation on the pitch. Shame
=========================

Agreed he makes very little effort, but does pop up a goal every now and again from coners.

ManU won a tougher fixture 3 nil. Chelsea struggle to beat a team with injured strikers and only heskey alone upfront. U conceded two to a team with only heskey upfront

U should be ashamed of yourselves. But seriously chelsea have the drive but not the attacking, or it seems, defending ability of manu this season.

ManU are top and will probably stay there

you don't know what you are talking about. Wigan made it evident that you are nothing but poor side. You recovered a disgracful lose and now you talk about winning MU. I thing you are overwhelmed by the fact that you collected the three points. When you see the game againg you will realize that cheliski is not a team enough to win the trophy this year.

Despite the length of the win, 3-0, the scoreline did flatter us - we werent 't that good and Aston Villa could have been ahead but for the post in Gardner 's header. United again, like with West Ham, struggled to carve out clear-cut chances and it was thanks to a low-quality defending from Villa that they took the lead, and a bit of luck that Ronaldo got a chance of a second shot when he failed at his first attempt. Scholes's second was a dream one, proving once again what a world class player he is. I 'm glad for him, he really needed that cos he hasn 't been scoring that regularly lately. The third one was served on the plate by Neville, who 's always such a marvellous team player.
As concerns the title, I still think it will be Chelsea 's at the end of the season. I 'd like us to win it, but we aren 't yet that good. Don 't read anything into Chelsea 's performance last night, it 's their performances after January that will make the difference. And United aren 't playing that well lately while they 're always liable to shock results like Southend, Copenhagen, West Ham, Celtic as we have seen. So we shouldn 't be rush for the time being to taunt Chelsea fans since it 's who has the last lagh that matters. United have to improve as a side, and Ferguson should take up more serious items than talking rubbish about Mourinho 's apologising. I don 't dig Mourinho, but that 's nonsense by Ferguson, who certainly doesn 't feel that comfortable with the gap reduced down to 2 points in virtually no time. Mourinho is biding his time, knowing his side is going to peak later, so he can afford to play mind games. But Ferguson shouldn 't get caught in such situations, and he 's far too experienced to do so...

Awwwk we will only find out who wins the league when those 2 teams get it on. The premiership has become boring for the title chase... But european places on the other hand, its exciting!
Merry Christmas Everyone!!!!
