I just looked at the bbc sport homepage and to my horror, I saw that Charlton were being beaten by Wycombe 1 - 0 with half an hour to go!!! Is anyone watching the match, if so tell me whats happening!!! Also, could this lead to Les Reed's sacking??!!

PLease post your comments here.

Losing Curbishley was an unmitigated disaster, and I dont think the board would have taken such a ridiculous action if they had any sense. Appointing Dowie was their second mistake, and we all know about their third.

It could be too late for Charlton as the Championship now beckons and the heady days of European football look set to be in the wings for another 20 years as charlton struggle to regain their place amongst Europes elite.

A few years ago I attended a charitable dinner with George Best & Rodney Marsh as guest speakers.
During the dinner they told a story about the day one of them was invited to the FA youth accadamy which was run by Les Reed and others.
Reed showed a video of what must have been one of the greatest footballing sides ever to have played, the Brazil 1970 world cup side. During this video he would pause it and turn to the gathered boys and tell them to Marsh and Best's horror this is NOT thats right NOT the way to play football!! and they were not to be seen playing that way.????
Knowing this and reading Steven Gerrards comments about him it seems poor old Charlton have definately got the wrong man - Fire him and give Charlton back some pride instead of letting a long ball dinosaur drag them into relegation. Good luck Charlton - well only if Reed goes!

Charlton have completely disintegrated, and look set to plunge to the championship when previously everythign looked so good.

The worst thing is they now have a manager who is completely out of his depth and could well even take this club into a descent from the championship into the lower divisions.

And all this from a club that held so much promise.

A complete shambles and mess, Charltons freefall into the abyss of hell doesnt seem to be curtailing at all

Charlton are in a sorry mess at the moment, and will be in even more dire trouble if they do go down which looks likely. They should not have sacked Ian Dowie, well if they do give Pardew the job, if anyone can pull them out, he can.

Charlton have been punching above their weight for years, it was only curbs tactical nous that kept them up, it was only a matter of time

-----------------------

Curbs tactical knowledge. Did you ever see charlton play under curbs. as much as I love the bloke we played rubbish football. we were just lucky and hard working.

BANG ON! Carl, we have been witnessing the same thing at the Valley for years!

Our football was terrible, and Curb's tactical knowledge was more or less non existent! Very few effective substitutions, very little creativity over the last 4 years, we were just getting lucky and now we've been found out and the players know that everyone else knows they are rubbish!
