Watford Fans-What would you do

Premiership Watford
comment on the article

A few facts;
- Watford are bottom of the Premiership.
- The one striker Watford have is injured for the rest of the year.
- The transfer window is a couple of weeks away.

So what should Watford do?
Do they take a big risk and spend millions on a couple of strikers? But what happens when that doesn't change the position and they still go down?

Do they hang tight, go down but keep the money to invest in the ground and players to try for the Premiership again?

Do they need other payers - full backs, midfield?

Should they let anyone go? Henderson or Smith haven't really performed.

What are the rumours you are hearing?

With Watford out of their depth Boothroyd has make make some major but smart moves to ensure the Hornets have a chance. I'd bring in about a half dozen players to boost the squad before all hope is lost.

Hendrie - impish but decent player who will jump at the chance to play premiership football after gaining fitness at Stoke.

Smith - with Larsson and Rossi arriving at the transfer window Fergie might let his target man go on loan to a club who has already aided Foster's development.

Pearson - scotland international who has found it hard to break into a side who have progressed into the last 16 of the champions league.

Anderson - liverpool's young winger has yet to make an impact but lined up alonside Young would allow Watford to get in consistant crosses.

All these players are good enough and should come on loans or for next to nothing. It's the last roll of the dice, take a gamble.

They all sound like good players and loan deals might be the way forward but will the managers let them come to a team not in great form but actually performing ok?

Swansea won't sell their top striker....they have money unlike Rotherham to keep Trundle.

Think we need experience as our team is quite young already.

Collins John and Lee Hendrie are a great shout.

Kieran Richardson for the remainder of the season on loan.

Defensive I think there okay, would like to see Doyley back in the team soon.

The fact is we need someone who has premiership experience. rossi would be good, but newcastle might want to keep him. After seeing stern john on New years day i dont think hes the right person. Earnshaw is a maybe but hes lower league, Aidy's gota be looking for someone who knows the premiership well and has a bit of speed.

That young Portugese bloke from Man Utd would do great, Ronaldo i think his name is. Looks fairly promising but i reckon a relegation battle would do him the world of good!!! Seriously we need a proven striker or 2 to have any hope, the only person i can think to fit the role would be Alan Smith. If Saha needs a game now larsson has been signed he'd be a reasonable bet too!!!!
