Didier Drogba's brilliant long-range volley clinched the points for Chelsea after a thriller at Goodison Park.

Mikel Arteta's first-half penalty put Everton ahead after John Terry's stand-in Khalid Boulahrouz hauled down the ever-threatening Victor Anichebe.

Chelsea levelled when Michael Ballack's free-kick hit the post and deflected in off the back of the diving Tim Howard.

Joseph Yobo headed Everton in front before Frank Lampard's looping equaliser and Drogba's late winner.

i just want to know everyones opinion on english sport so far this year mainley football cricket and rugby?
where are we going wrong?
1st of all football and the world cup farce and the two euro qualifiers which we failed to win! are we simpley not good enough or are the so called superstars to big for there own good?
yes sven was a mistake a big mistake taking the players wifes out there to germany was a joke??taking a young lad(walcott) who has proven at premiership level he is good enough to play for england now and not giving him a go?not playin lennon from the start to? and not getting martin oneil or maybe curbs?as the next england manager ?so all in all we have had a really bad year in football!!
rugby well the results say it all?again a sport were forced to play at school instead of football and yet we cant produce a team to carry on competing with the best in the world since the world cup?yes we were amazing when we won the world cup down under and a lot of players have aged now but sureley after that success we should have carried on progressing?
and finally cricket well take nothing away from the aussies they wanted the ashes back badley they must have hurt seeing our boys on the open top bus back in the summer of 2005!!but again poor managment in my eyes cost us?not piking montey and chris reed from the start was a joke!jones has proven he cant hack it when the going gets tough!its time to let people like botham or hussian or even david lylod start picking the teams like a selection commitee with people that are passionate about the game and have a vast knowledge and a outside view off the game!!england have been caught in a time zone since 2005!! dont get me wrong im sure we will fight to pull it back to 3 - 2 but its such a shame all the hard work that we have put in last year has gone without a real good english fight!

Silas, just like the money spent to buy Rooney and Ferdinand. Can't you clowns come up with an original comment. Man U is full of high priced and highly paid talent also. Give your head a shake.

in addition to that, man utd can go 4 ronaldiho, eto, kaka. the title belong to chelsea. it's not 4 sales yet, perhaps in the next 5 years. man utd should just 4get winning it. that must be a joke of the year.

I'm not a Man U fan so unless there's another Silas on here, I think you might have confused me with someone else perhaps?

whistle

I'd have been scathing, but with a name like Bonetti, I'm assuming you're a fellow Blue, so I'll let it be.

biggrin

i'm a man u fan who agrees that someone who agrees that some so called "fans" r hypocrits. but it is quite stupid that chelski fans think they can pip us 2 da title. we gave u a 2 season break, but the real man u r back. plus, there is a whole season left and there's already talk of a hattrick of premierships.i do agree with chelski on 1 thing, we can't talk about big-spending

of course chelsea only win with luck !!!!!!

they play ugly ,direct football, which has lampard hitting the ball as ahrd as he possibly can every time he gets the ball... infact thats probably chelseas main tactics 1.try your hardest to get it to lampard. 2. lampard toe punts it as hard as he possibly can 3. everyone else has to cross there fingers and hope it gos in
i h8te lampard so much

you chelsea fans have to admit u only support chelski cos they won the title twice wait till next season it will all be man u fans .. evry where!

Thats why we are champions! even if we dont play particularly well, we still win! and it was a well deserved win, and a goals worthy to win any game. especially Drogba, because he is unstoppable at the moment! OH MY DAYS!
Lampard ur a legend
It should have been ballacks goal, it was going in even if that rubbish keeper howard touched it anyway!
COME ON CHELSEA!
