tutt tutt, another Ill informed poster, we have all buit nearly filled the new home of beautiful football every home game, and away attendences across the home premiership are higher this year then any in the last 4/5 years.
At a Guess I would say you are a Spurs fan, jelious of the fact the last time you won something your moment of glory was broadcast in Black and White.
p.s enjoy your mid table scrap this year

Its one problem of a multi cultural society that some immigrants cant leave their political problems back home and have to let it resurface at a football ground of all places!

hi, i am a cypriot and i used to live in the uk now i live in cyprus. i dnt think Arsenal should have banned all national flags, only the turkish cypriot flag which is offencive to cypriots. that flag symbolizes the fact that they took away peoples homes and lives. nowadays the turks still havnt given any land back and whatsmore as you enter the countries capital nicosia the turks have made huge turkish and turkish cypriot flags on a mountain that they stole from the cypriot people. this can only be done to take the p*** of cypriot people and due to acts like this the emirates stadium can be descibed as inapproriot place for a turkish cypriot flag. espacially because the majority of cypriots that live in the uk support either arsenal or spurs

im a liverpool fan, so lets not even go into who's won more shall we?

as for your fans, henry himself had a go at you for not being supportive enough when your team was playing badly, also when you came to anfeild last year you only half filled your section?

When you go to watch Arsenal your affiliation is to Arsenal not to a nation.

Anyway I go to football matches to watch football, not to have an attention seeking numpty wave a sheet on a stick in front of me for 90 minutes, so I say ban flags of any sort.

thanks

When I go to Football match ..I go to watch football...but some people choose certain seats to put their countries flags..I actually do not know whether it is an act of nationalism or propaganda..Although some flags may offend others..I dont really look at flags nor care about it...The only Flag that I like when I go to Football is Arsenal Flag..and Football is football there is no politics..Just pay attention to important matches such as Cup Final or Champ L final or World Cup and see the flags there..It is almost like commercials..Off course people do it deliberately ..whether it is a love of their country or propaganda I am not sure..and I dont really care that match..I go to football match to watch football..and I believe we should keep politics away from Football...and that is why Arsenal Board thought it is a proper way to not allow any flags that will upset others..To me if Flags will upset them then God helps them because anyone can put any flag in their home or cars it is a free country after all..that is my opinion..what do you think?

We need to get some balance into this business about "...offencive to cypriots. that flag symbolizes the fact that they took away peoples homes and lives..."
Let's not forget the recorded unbiased ethnic cleansing that was taking place by the Greek Cypriots against their countrymen of Turkish Cypriots. That is what was offensive (spelt correctly!). Unfortunately it wasnt offensive enough for the UK or the US governments of the time when Turkey decided to take matters into its own hands. The Greek authorities brought the whole thing onto the Greek Cypriots themselves. It is about time that the Greek/Turkish Cypriots recognise that they have both become (as bizarre as it may seem) indiginous peoples of the island. They need to understand that it was the British rule that fermented their respective views of themselves as extensions of their respective motherlands.
The separate Boards of Education, one Greek and one Turkish, controlled by Athens and Istanbul which emphasized linguistic, religious, cultural, and ethnic differences did not help. By ignoring the traditional ties between the two Cypriot communities the system caused the development of two distinct nationalities and antagonistic loyalties was ensured.
If only the Greek leadership of the 70s could keep just keep religion and politics separate !

Amazing, considering they have such massive sponsorship deals with "Emirates" and "Fly Israel", but they get paid for that so thats not a problem.

I hope this doesnt start a trend...
