Portsmouth v's ArsenalPremiership Portsmouth by U2729281 16 December 2006 Sounded like a cracker on the radio... Had we had a fit forward line they were there for the taking. They however could say the same thing. All in all happy with a point and a great performance... Looking forward to motd and seeing another Taylor superstrike. Arsenal (U4441664) posted Dec 17, 2006 and got a draw at Chelsea and qualified top of champions league group posted Dec 17, 2006 I pointed out before the season started (to derisory comments from some less informed Gooners) that AFC's strongest XI was only just above mid-table. Their position in the league clearly disputes this but let us not be silly about the current league position.

Gunner_S (U6904046) posted Dec 17, 2006 Agreed, Both Bendtner (thought he was better then Ali in our reserves) and Stokes seem to be the instinctive strikers we need. Someone who runs into the box to get on the end of passes & crosses. At the moment out strikers spend all there time (except Adebayor) trying to come in or shoot from outside the box. Our game plan is too rigid and Arsene is blinded to the fact other good managers can adapt there team to stop us (Bolton being a prime example). AW doesn't instill the fire/passion or drive into the team, making them want to win, It's always we played well and it looked nice but that doesn't count for anything its the winning that matters at the end of the day.

JonnyHotspur (U6681337) posted Dec 18, 2006 You have to give credit to Harry though. Pompy fans must love him, getting their biggest rivals relegated then coming back and turning them into a decent prem side, and of course coming so close to doing other the french national team!
