Dowie turns down Hull job

Championship Hull City
comment on the article

Iain Dowie has rejected the opportunity to succeed Phil Parkinson as Hull boss, reports BBC Radio Humberside.

Dowie had been the front-runner to take on the job, but turned down the chance to make a swift return to football after being sacked by Charlton.

Hull chairman Adam Pearson told the BBC the interview process is now finished, despite Dowie's decision.

But he refused to confirm growing speculation that former West Brom boss Gary Megson is now in pole position.

What's your thoughts Hull fans? Are you upset that Dowie isn't coming? Do you think Megson will now be your next boss?

General opinion now seems to be Megson. For the love f god, NO. I know he did a decent job at WBA but he is not the person we want, it's difficult because there is not going to be much money to spend, the package is not going to be huge for the new manager, and it's a tough job to get this team out of trouble, although after the performance yesterday at least the signes are better. I'm still not convinced that PB is the right man, maybe give him another few games and then see, the other names are also not awe inspiring. I know AP has said a decision is going to be made early this week, I wondr if he is now having a re-think after yesterdays peformance.....
